Delay artillery at the beginning of the match, and another general artillery suggestion to consider

First, thanks for increasing the cooldown (CD) of artillery, and I’m sure you will monitor and adjust the value in the future, even if I believe it’s still too short.

My suggestion is to give artillery ability a 60 sec CD at the beginning of the game similar to the spawning of planes. You can still spawn the radio squad, but just a CD on the ability until 60 secs of the game as elapsed.

We had the issue where people would spawn in a bomber and bomb spawn immediately. Now the trend is players immediately calling artillery at the beginning of the game.

It’s almost worst because the planes were limited in spawns (1-2) whereas you can have 20 artillery circles in the beginning of the game.

Now for my suggestion for general artillery usage during the match when it’s well under way. This is only an idea just to add to the brainstorming of a better idea. You can also limit the number of artillery that can be used per side at the same time. So lets say only 2 artillery strikes on each side which is only 4 circles total.

Currently, I don’t think there is any limit as I’ve seen a lot of artillery circles in the map at the same time.

it would be better to reduce the frequency not every 48 seconds but every minimum 60 seconds, Artillery at this point is strongly op.
It doesn’t bother me that much at first, but it’s boring and predictable.

Being able to call it instantly from the start of a match on invasion maps leads to defence side not being able to leave spawn safely which is a problem so I agree with your suggestion.

This is good suggestion. They should also limit how many times one radioman csn call artillery so people wouldnt just spam it every time its usable

I think between 48s-60 sec is great, but they should limit the Radio operator squad in battle at the same time. 2-3 Radio squad would be great, to reduce constant Arty spam. HE buff from last update made the Arti which more powerful than ever…maybe these one of options should counter their effectiveness.

Best case arty is still 0 skill high reward with the current HE

What he is trying to explain is a situation where you are loading into a map at the start of the game. Before you can even fully spawn there are multiple artillery strikes dropped. It wipes all the squads on your team before you can move. He is asking for a 60 second delay at the start of the match before you can call in artillery. This happens all the time to me and it sucks.

i love that idea and would love if it was implemented.

this would be a really good idea becease arty is really op and stupid right now maybe 3 would be so you could be tactical with it with your team but other then that they do need a nerf
