With the anniversary of defending Dunkirk for the evacuation for Operation Dynamo, it would be a great time to bring in a Scottish event squad to commemorate…complete with Scottish voice lines. It could be for the 1st Battalion The Royal Scots who used 400 men to mount the successful defence at Le Paradis to allow a successful evacuation…May 25th, there is still time!
It could even be a way to introduce another couple of Lewis guns to the game.
400 to slow the German advance to allow hundreds of thousands rescued…seems worthy of an event.

But given that a VERY large portion of the British army was made up of Scots and Irish, including the newly formed SAS, they really need distinct representation.
Why not? A lot of British people my age have elder (and deceased) family members who fought in the war. He was a true hero. He was on one of the last boats to leave Dunkirk, after fighting in the rear guard. Lost all his mates in that battle. Went onto fight in Asia. He never talked about any of it until his later years, bless him.

The rest is just a translation issue. What I meant was that I was thinking about how DF would handle the Dunkirk event, and I came up with three possibilities from the worst to the best:
Worst case: just a saber decal and a pistol.
Middle case: a Besa machine gun.
Best case: a French or British squad.

Now that I look back, the sentence I wrote later did accidentally point to you. That was a small mistake. Sorry.
Technically they give the Scottish squad, complete with voice lines. Then they make them unique to identify them easily, I was thinking a kilt but that might be hard…a Tam hat is definitely unique and Scottish with the red backed St Andrews insignia. Then give them the semi-auto SMLE with thier unique 17" saber bayonette that could be detachable in-game to use as thier melee weapon. Along with a Lewis .303 or 2 in the squad…that’s the vision. Then call them 1st Battalion The Royal Scots - “the Fateful 400”.
It would even allow for German weapons in the event since they were there too.
Both of what I mentioned were also pivotal in the North African and Normandy campaigns.
Definitely need more representation, in my humble opinion.
And just for the record, my granddad didn’t fight in either regiment. I can’t remember what he said, but I’m pretty sure he fought with the 1st East Lancs Battalion. But don’t quote me on that. It was a long time ago when he told me of his plight. And we were both pretty drunk at the time.
Exactly…I have big visions for Enlisted, I just need the Community Managers and devs to envision it to…but no one can deny this Scot Dunkirk squad isn’t deserving with the successful slow to evacuate everyone.
