A while ago, I made a post complaining about people who only advance when they have to defend, and everyone criticized me, saying things like, “So I shouldn’t take away concentration points anymore?” and other stupid things. I have to tell you that yesterday in a defense match, the enemy locked themselves in the point and didn’t move away from it. We bombed them, harassed them with artillery, and still couldn’t move a single centimeter from the first capture point.
The enemy focused on their favorite Soviet tactic: they dedicated themselves to entering to defend, burning through troops, and in the end, they beat us by reinforcements. It was impossible to get in. They didn’t have air superiority, and their tanks were quickly destroyed. Even so, with infantry and completely harassed by constant fire, we couldn’t take the point. This just goes to show that a minimal strategy and the abuse of defenders’ infinite reinforcements means there’s no need for a defender to go running out towards the enemy.
The reason for this post isn’t to complain; it’s to open the game up to more than just running around like a headless chicken. I hope you’ll read this as an incentive to talk with your teammates and plan something more than just running… I’ve personally seen that when you talk and the other person is open to listening, you win matches easily! Best regards.
