Dear developers please bring back the ability to get random soldiers using bronze troop orders as the current system of getting soldier with only the silver is way too slow. this will impact newer players more and possibly make them turn away from enlisted as the accusation of silver orders is far too grindy in its current state.
How are players meant to fill there squads with what they need ? wait to get silver orders in the battle pass or via the battle pass ? no because this is simply not enough. If the random troop roll will not be added back perhaps we could have it so we can exchange a certain amount of bronze orders for a single silver order.
Also if the new weapon system is going to be made like the new troop system with only being able to obtain new weapons with silver orders and not bronze orders god help us all. I honestly believe this will ruin enlisted as it would take far too long to obtain anything. Your not going to gain players with this sort of economy your going to lose them.
I do love playing enlisted I do not want to see it go down the drain like almost all other promising games I have played due to bad decisions on big changes that just make the game ultimately worse.
I agree 100%. Iāve given them many suggestions on how to fix the economy for Silver orders since that is now what it takes.
The Bronze to Silver honestly makes the most sense.
Login Awards (i.e. login 2 days in a row and get 1 silver Troop or Weapon Etc)
Achievements for it as well that are separate from the main ones you get.
Ironically WoWS (Wargamming) is actually pretty good at giving away lots of free stuff. At least in recent years from my experience.
I have 46 Port slots that I āearnedā.
I just play for roughly 2 months now and kind of enjoyed it but slowly begin to wonder if the developers actually want their product to fail. There are so many obvious wrong decisions being made that clearly hurt the game such as horribly overpowered vehicles (Jumbo), the taking away of a beloved game mode (Lone Fighters), the existance of a monetization idea that should keep the players playing but is way too weak to achieve it (battlepass), the often horribly one sidedness of matches or the introduction of an over the top artificial scarcity (only silver orders for soldiers and weapons) that I begin to understand why people leave the game.
The devs really need to do something about it. A game has to make profit but if they just keep on raising the revenues by making it more and more intolerable for the players then they are just digging this games grave. Enlisted is fun but by far isnāt as good and alone on the market as War Thunder is.
This is such a commonly spoken but false assumption.
No Gaming company wants to āfailā or purposely deep six a project.
I donāt wake up (Iām an Operations Manager) and say , you know what, Lets Fail today and burn through company $$$. Their Job might be different than mine, but the goal is the same. To Succeed.
Iām a Telco Service Provider for customers as well, so we both deal with the public and people.
Anywho, the issue IMO is they did not honestly see what the actual repercussions were going to be, or were pressured to change something or increase the model for revenue without understanding fully what would be effected.
They were wrong, 100%. They need to find other ways to bring in revenue beyond locking Silver orders up so tight like they have now.
Many people on the forums (Both here and Reddit) have given DF lots of options on how to change it to make it better. I hope that somehow, somewhere, their management listens and fixes it.
The good news is, at least at the initial stages, they acknowledged that it was a mistake and they were working on it.
I just hope they do it sooner rather than later as I very much enjoy this game.
In the back of my mind I wonder if CBs (ignoring the 1st failed phase) was, at least partly, introduced to gauge the interest in an almost purely PVE gaming experience (the game is majority PVE as it is).
If you review the order that updates were released, it seems obvious to me which direction the game was headed.
Itās not only pressure to spend money on BP/Premium, but almost a āpay or go awayā message to purely 100% F2P players.
If enough of the āactualā player base (this forum, reddit and discord are a tiny fraction of the entire player base) is happy with PVE, then what do they need F2P players for?
They are betting that enough new players will try the game and spend money to be successful, the F2P players that never spend money will leaveā¦.and probably not be missed.
At least thatās how I see this thing unfolding, whether I agree with it or not, it seems obvious.
Potentially yes. I was not here for the very beginning phases of this game unfortunately so I donāt know all of the history.
You could be correct.
They could also split the population up in a sense as well. WoWS after all, was never meant to have a Permanent CO-OP Mode. But it became so popular that it is now firmly entrenched into the culture, for the missions, awards etc.
It is actually the first place usually you will see new mechanics tested, and new ships trialed.
Perhaps that evolution is happening to this game in the same way?
Designed as a PVP with Bots to fill the lobbies as required, but is evoloving to have more of a PVE aspect.
IN which case, we need to expand on that if its being PVE. Larger maps, better structured fights (not on some small circle but zone control).
They want to expand on that, add a Grand Campaign that say starts with Operation Barbarossa on the Eastern side and you work through procedurally generated maps till you get to Moscow.
There is so much potential in this game. I hope they donāt squander it.
That much is obvious. My comment was sarcastic and aimed on the absurdity of decisions being made which appear so blatantly unpopular from a customers point of view that even the unthinkable - a company not wanting to have success - actually would appear as a plausible motivation to explain such a harakiri move. After all they can make squads, leveling your troops and shortcut services as expensive as they want to in order to increase revenue. If thereās no one to play anymore, thereās also no one to invest these risen prices into the game.
So of course Gaijin wants to have success. But to me they are strongly ill advised on their current development path with Enlisted. The game surely has potential. The only problem I could see here is that Gaijin is unfortunately not known for listening about itās customers opinions.
The problem with F2P on the other hand is that you typically need the Freebies to populate the servers. Also they play a vital role of serving as easy kills (not all but usually) in order to give the paying players and whales additional success to further play and invest into the game.
I could perfectly see this as a PVE only game. Yet this would leave a lot of paying people rather angry (the collectors who paid for squads for example) and regarding AI they are still a looong way from it. Which is a problem that if getting actually fixed would also fix a severe PVP problem. After all many people complain that they constantly have to babysit their squads which makes a game that should be enjoyable rather stressful - and was possibly a reason why lone fighters was so popular.
I used to play only in the Battle of Moscow campaine so i wasted all my silver orders in there. now im playing Invasion of normandria and my squads are kind of empty without the soldiers i need :c
It would be excelent if the develpers return the Random soldier with bronze
I am currently stagnated in a similar situation, I donāt get enough silver orders to increase the size of my recently acquired squadron and I donāt want to take troops away from squads Iāve already completed and equipped according to their intended gameplay
I recently acquired mortar crew, how to add another mortarman if i get barely 1-3 orders per week? I have other squadrons left unfilled with empty assaulters or engineers slots. The achievements allowed for some early progression but is not the fix for the mid game-late game silver gaining. I am just playing Tunisia campaign, how will i progress on Normandy campaign?
I can get more guns or equipment through play time but how can i get more soldiers?
Damn that sucks dude i hope the devs donāt push another half assed update like they did with the overhaul of the bronze orders and the removal of the academy. No offence developers.
I say its half assed because there is no reliable way to get silver troop orderās which just kind of ruins the game for a lot of people especially those who like to switch between campaigns to keep things fresh.
At least before you could get troops via random rolling
They really need to push an update within the next few days re adding the random troop bronze order roll if they donāt have any other system in place to obtain troops other than silver orders and no way of trading bronze for silver.
Even if the random troop roll is there temporarily until they add another solution that will be fantastic.
Please developers consider this as people are currently restricted to only one campaign due to not being able to obtain soldier for the other ones. I imagine it is very frustrating with these people and probably would make them not want to play to a certain extent because that is certainly how i would feel.
Iām sitting in the same boat as well. On top of it I wasted all my silver weapon orders for vehicle parts. Little did I know how valuable they would become as the beginning of the game leaves the appearance that you would get a constant income flow when all it was were those achievements getting fulfilled - which of course run out sooner than later. And who knows right now
Right now all I can advise you is to wait until Gaijin hopefully finds a proper fix for that problem and perhaps play other stuff that wonāt leave you hanging like Enlistedās progress currently.
Personally I would welcome a solution where you can roll all beginner troops for bronze except all those advanced āIIā troops like Assaulter II, Rifleman II etc.
Iāll second that, itās ridiculous to believe that a new-player can fill out squads with Silver Orders. You had a good system with Bronze orders and the Academy. Stop listening to crazy suggestions from Youtube/Twitch influencers they obviously donāt have others or the games health in mind.
Two months later and yet the lack of silver orders issue still hasnāt been addressed. Its a major problem i know a few of my friends who were new and came to play however they stopped playing shortly after realizing how long it takes to get new soldiers.
I appreciate it takes time to develop a game however its something that could of easily temporarily been fixed.
Sure the previous system of getting new troops was not ideal however at least you could get soldiers as and when you needed them with the random troop order. It was fair now it just isnāt so many new players are being put off by a single thing.
I consider myself as an average player playing 2-4 battles 3-4 days a week.
Currently i have 68 silver orders for weapons and 45 for soldiers and i dont really know for what to spend themā¦
My squads are at full capacity, every soldier got a decent loadout including additional ammo and grenades, so what am i missing?
By the way, i am happy about academy and random soldier-purchase being removed.
With the old concept you needed 81(?) Tier 1 soldiers for one Tier 5 (and with random purchase i mostly got useless soldiers )
The new concept feels somehow more coherent and easier to understand, silver for purchase and bronze for upgrade.
Its not only the Silver Orders wheres to low, on other Side new Players i have so many Friends lost in this ENLISTED-War because they were Noobey. It isnāt a big Problem for me right now⦠Its a Problem for everyone. I have all Axis complete and 2 Allies Side, but the other 2 Allied Campaigns will be harder. Imagine you are new⦠Should this Game make Fun or should it make only Money for Developers?
