Darkflow's betrayal?

I just watched a YouTube video about the War Thunder leaks and then saw this comment:

And I think… if this really happens, what will happen to the hours and money invested? Because definitely if War Thunder includes infantry, I’m sure more than 50% will move because War Thunder simply has much more attention and enlisted will definitely die.

But it also made me think:

If this was just an experiment, a test to be killed and merged with another game later… All that money the developers want to make as if the players were cows to be slaughtered would make more sense and would only leave the company in a bad light…(Worse position than they already have now…) Simply a blatant betrayal and an insult to everyone.

Comment: “They are actively trying to kill Enlisted to cannibalize the players into war thunder infantry.”

The term “cannibalize” is being used incorrectly in this sentence: If a product is cannibalizing another product, then it is taking revenue away from another product from the same company. For example, if a company already sells a soft drink and creates a second soft drink, AND customers who drink the first soft drink stop drinking it and start drinking the second soft drink exclusively… Then the second soft drink is “cannibalizing” sales from the first soft drink.

If the developers shut down Enlisted, and some of its players move to War Thunder… Then cannibalizing cannot occur since there’s no second product that is taking revenue from another product—within the same company.

I used to play WT, but thought it was boring just playing with tanks and planes, so I actually uninstalled it a year or so ago, but had not actively played it since about late 2022 or 2023. Since it’s through Steam, reinstalling it puts me back to where I left off, as I recently reinstalled just to see what the changes have been, and I was still to the same level as before, then I uninstalled again to save space on my computer. If trying to get the players currently here to move there is their goal, then I at least hope they leave Enlisted up so if nothing else, I can still play custom matches so I did not waste all the money I have spent over the years. If they discontinued this game after the sheer amount I have spent here, I can guarantee that I will never give one single penny to WT. If they can hose us here, they can hose us there as well.

I agree 100%! If they shut Enlisted down, then try to woo us over to War Thunder with some minor financial offerings—then they have lost me as a customer FOREVER! However, if they were to move my entire Enlisted account to War Thunder—allowing me to keep all of my premium squads, squads that I had to grind out, etc.—then I would consider moving over. In addition, I would also want to be compensated for all of the gold and silver in my Enlisted account.

That is if it would even be compatible for them to move our squads. If so, and transferring was basically seamless and I lost nothing, then we’ll see.

Maybe infantry there would be pretty much exactly like in Enlisted, maybe not, but I would not hold my breath on them making our squads transferable, they would probably just want all of us to have to purchase all new premium squads there. So, I will reserve judgement till the bridge is crossed. However, either way the Enlisted part should remain for us to at least still be able to use the custom match part.

Ther is no such thing as “War Thunder infantry” - the OP is off on one of his fantasies again

Im on pure hopium atm, that the WT infantry will be cold war/modern day only, and will leave the WW2 infantry game to Enlisted, but thats pure copium, the only evidence I have to back that up, is the fact they are looking for moderators for enlisted atm, which at least shows there is some interest left in the game.

the fact that they just updated the forum is a sign that they plan to keep Enlisted alive as well.

The forum is more active than the game. 10/10 resource usage.
