What’s the origin of your username? I’ll go first and this answers the last daily question, my name is “Sonderkraftfahrzeug 173 Deutsche Wehrmacht”. Sd.Kfz.173 because thats my favorite (now maybe 2nd) Tank Destroyer and Deutsche Wehrmacht because I’m in a group that’s called that.

I used to play a lot of world of warships so I named myself after a ship I was interested in, it’s misspelled because I didn’t want a bunch of random numbers on my username but Xbox still put them on the end anyways

Mine is easy : The Comet Tank is probably my favorite WW2 tank.
I used to play WoT back in the 2010’s with a friend, the Comet was my favorite tank to play and I ended up using it for my nickname.
Me too ! I played it a lot between 2016 and 2018, and I still play it from time to time. However the game is certainly not as good as it used to. Yamato was my first T10 BB, and one of my fav as well.

Comrade Sina. I am known among my friends as someone with socialist beliefs, so some started calling me by nicknames like Comrade, Tavarish or “Rafiq” (the Persian translation of Comrade, رفیق). So I liked this nickname too and made it my username on Steam and in many other places. “Sina” is also my first name.

Valkay is my great grandfather’s cogname who had fought in both world wars, was awarded the title Vitéz for his actions and after the second world war he escaped from the GULAG.

Hehe, there’s a thread on the RU forum called “Why Mortarion?” I’ll give a slightly more detailed answer here. A long time ago, when I discovered Warhammer 40k, I became interested in everything related to it, including music. And then I came across the song “Keepers of Death - The Saga of Mortarion.” I’ll say right away that the song is really bad, it’s not easy to listen to, but I liked the lyrics.

I was born amidst a terrible slaughter,
Nurgle then took root within me.
I grew in a cave, among darkness and plants,
But I dreamed of a life without the friction of war.

Well, you see, most people are confused by my name: BodyBagger. They automatically assume that I kill lots of people—and that couldn’t be further from the truth. I just enjoy bagging the bodies after their dead. So the bottom line is, you just have to find joy in what you do—and I enjoy bagging bodies.
So if you see someone on the battlefield hovering over an entire squad of dead enemy soldiers, it’s probably me—and I didn’t kill them. I’m just standing there wondering why Gaijin doesn’t add a mechanic to the game that will allow me to bag these bodies.

In general, “escape” is just beautiful.
In fact, they just let him go.
escaping the GULAG was actually rather easy, surviving the journey back into civilisation was the difficult part which deterred most people.
GULAGs were set up in the middle of nowhere on reason and they under fed and over worked the people to keep them weak so they could not escape, still many people attempted to escape rather than die as a slave in a GULAG, some of them even survived.
