D-day normandy is pretty even. I wouldnt change much. What you dont do in the begining is bunch your squad up. I usually get my squad up the beach unscathed until assaulting the Obj. The planes dont bother me dont even think about them you cant do anything about them. Its a steep learning curve Normandy D-day but you have to play it as a squad based game not an standard FPS. Tactics are critical in taking it. As well as defending it.
Carry an Engineer team just for D-Day and it becomes a lot easier.
Go up the flank, set a respawn, build cover to the object, profit.
Then tear down your stuff and do it again.
You don’t need a whole engineer team; however, I’d recommend a SQUAD with at least two as you’ll lose them trying to establish that beachhead.
Also, I feel this is more strategic that a lot of games. You’re dealing with SQUADS of soldiers, and have a lot of impact on how your team plays if you play the right teams. It’s way more chaotic and fast passed though.
I often feel like a sheepherder…
For the first point alone there are 6 rally points that can give you a win condition and 2 of those are within 50meters. You have to read the battlefield and where to go with it. And even if your team comes out of it under fire that means they are looking there and not at the other side where another player could potentially break trough. Dday is a map where you need to use your brain to win it and if you do that you win it almost every time. Since most people in this game just charge forward into mg fire aimlessly the team with the most players that use tactics win. Seems really balanced to me and I like that in this game.
I wish more people would use tactics but the game is fairly new so hopefully that comes with time.
Almost everybody didn’t understand me, including you. I know how to you use my brain, I know where to build rally points to give team most benefit. Problem is the rest of my team isn’t interested in making use of my effort. Although I destroy a bunch of MGs nests, although I build rally point in a strategic place, I can’t win a game alone, since the rest of my time pushes through the center of the map.
These problems aren’t as obivious when you defending, at this side you can focus on camping. One or two enginers build a rally point and your team profits. I’m aware that attacking is never as easy as defending and I’m okay with that but disproportion between attacking and defending side is huge, esecially on this map but also on almost every map in invasion and assault mode.
Ver-sur-mer in assault and Le Bre also aren’t pleasent for attackers. At Ver-sur-mer I witnessed only once when attackers won and only about 3-4 times they break through the first stage, I played at this map about 10 times. At Le Bre attacking teams always strugles at the 3rd stage and also at the 4th. After these two stages they lacking tickets to win the entire match. Something isn’t right here.
No. D-Day is perfectly balanced. And most of all, Americans can have two planes in the sky at the same time, while germans only 1. Isn’t that even enough???
For my part i dont like this map ^^ german side mostly boring take a tank and stop the Enemy to use there tanks. Usa side dont do a suicide move Place a spawn and u win ^^ ps my usa team is „f2p“ no oders ect:D
Then you are either really unlucky or you are not putting the points down in the correct place. I win 9 out of 10 ddays, hell I even started playing Americans because I always win dday as Germans and thought that dday was unfair. Well I win most games are America as well. I always use everything the game gives me, rally points, bombers tanks, snipers (for mgs) and preffered assault with smg whatever is needed whenever it is needed. I communicate with the team and tell them of important stuff even if most games no one talks back. They mostly respond to it and if they did not then I tried my best. If one player responds and starts to talk back I know the game is 100% won because we have 2 players working together and most likely the enemy has not.
The problem in this game is communication and not map Y or X. No one works together so if people start doing that you will see the maps are pretty balanced.
Maybe I’m really unlucky indeed.
I said about it in one of my previous replies. Allow me to copy it.
If you are not willing to lose some bots for destroyed mgs then you will lose the game - problem is, I want to loose some bots and it’s what I always do, other players don’t and it’s why we loose. Even when 2 or 3 players do such thing it’s most often not enough, because defenders are in a better sitaution. Enlisted is not an e-sport type game like CS:GO or Rainbow 6 Siege where people communicate with each other giving othger players callouts this is a casual game where people how they like and it’s the point, a game like this should be accesible also for this kind of people, by making maps like D-Day easier for attackers.
And this is why in my opinion a game should be easier for attackers due to above.
Going in circles. Dday is balanced to me I dont want or like to play esports.
You didn’t understand, unlike to e-sport games like above, Enlisted doesn’t put emphasis on comunication between players. In that case don’t expect perfect understanding in teams.
