D-Day event predictions

As it gets closer to the anniversary of the Normandy Landings, I wonder what you guys and gals think we’ll get as rewards for it.
Personally, I think we’ll just get old event and Bp guns. And maybe some decals and/or portraits.

True. D-Day will most likely come right before a major update, especially since this old event with blue cards and Victory Day was so half-hearted. Not sure what D-Day will bring. Maybe a P-38J or Sherman skin? The big prizes I’m hoping for are things like the Churchill AVRE and StuG IV. Wait, last time wasn’t it the StuG II and the British airborne tank?

Maybe, I do remember that we did get those as rewards for the anniversary of D-Day, so maybe we could get new vehicles or squads. I would prefer squads or a new event vehicle squad.

Yeah, I really hope the Brummbar stays at BR3 instead of being moved to BR4. After all, it’s built on the Panzer IV chassis and even has a 20mm weak spot on its front armor.

I think those who claim it’s too powerful and push for it to go to BR4 are being way too conservative, basically turning down a great vehicle for no good reason. It’s just like how people voted to bump the Bf 110 G-2 up to BR4. With the Brummbar in BR3, players won’t have to fear KV tanks anymore.

Plus it definitely needs a machine gun fitted here. This isn’t War Thunder after all, we need small-caliber machine guns to clear out infantry AI effectively.

What’s more, it entered service back in 1943, a time when the Allied forces mainly fielded KV tanks and Shermans.

Next up is the Churchill AVRE.

Even though it has solid 89mm vertical frontal armor, its effective firing range is merely 130 meters, which is extremely short. Within Enlisted, this distance is well within the effective range of infantry anti-tank weapons. What’s more, its gun barrel is only 20 millimeters thick, meaning it can be easily damaged or destroyed by just one shell or a couple of anti-tank rounds.

This vehicle is built with an extreme design: excellent overall armor protection, yet its gun barrel is extremely vulnerable. Coupled with its short firing range, players have to get up close to land shots and can hardly engage enemies from afar.

Besides, players cannot fire through roofs or ceilings in Enlisted, so its mortar-style lobbing fire will rarely hit targets through the windows of defensive buildings. Honestly speaking, I think this vehicle fits perfectly at BR2.

In short, I believe these two vehicles are perfectly fitting for the theme of Operation Overlord.

what major update? we get “major” updates 2 times a year and last one was ~2 months ago.
