Customization costs too much

The new customization costs a lot, especially for the torso gear. Completing an entire battle pass will only allow you to significantly change 2-4 soldiers. The order cost should be lowered.

There’s also some achievements added to the profile section. Don’t know how much it’ll help, but it’s there.

Regardless, it’s per soldier. What are you going to do if you get a better soldier with better stats? You just wasted a lot of time and money on a soldier that you’ll no longer use. Cosmetics should unlock by squad or by class. I expected that the default ones would at least be free, and the unique, rare, limited time ones would cost money. That would make sense as they are per soldier.

It’s a start…

But my problem lies more with the fact they (devs)claimed that the infantryman hat you buy could be transferred to another infantryman. Like a weapon, or a backpack. Ppl claim it isn’t…

… So will we have to wait till we have the perfect stat soldier tier 3 before wanting to modify his attire? Think about it, you invest a lot in those cosmetics, but then you realize you should get a better soldier and… all what you spent on those cosmetics is just lost???

I’d just want the devs to stay true to their word.

@Barendd1974 you were faster, I basically said the same thing. :stuck_out_tongue:

I think people are confusing me relaying what I discovered in game to some sort of acceptance or justification of what Darkflow is/will do regarding cosmetics.

To reiterate something I said however long ago in another thread; I just don’t care what my dudes look like.

But if you and others do, I get it. I admit I’ll probably play around with camo patterns on the tanks or unit insignias and such, but the only campaign where I can convince myself that the uniforms should look a certain way is Moscow…that infamous march from the parade on Red Square right into the German maw.

Everywhere else I expect rag-tag, ad hoc, “I picked this up because it’s warm” behaviour. But I can also appreciate, once again, that the communication from the devs about a topic wasn’t quite as good as it should have been.

I mean, I probably won’t use any of the customization stuff until it reaches Moscow too, since that’s the campaign I main. Though if it’s starting off like this here, it might be just as bad, if not worse in other campaigns.

I already commented on this on another thread, so I’ll just copy it here:

The way they should really do it is as follows: If you purchase say, a coat, it will became available to all members of that squad. If you want to use that same coat for other squads, then you would need to purchase it again. But having to purchase the same coat for each and every soldier is just not right.

I say this is a major oversight by the Developers who clearly do not see the unreasonable logic behind it. For context, in War Thunder if you buy a decal, you don’t have to buy that said decal for every vehicle. Likewise if you want to buy a tank decoration, you do not have to buy it for each and every tank. If we don’t have that logic in War Thunder, why would they do that in Enlisted?

EDIT: I forgot to clarify that if you move a soldier from the squad that has the new coat either to the reserve or to another squad, his outfit will get reset to the default outfit. Likewise if you move a solider from another squad to the squad with the coat, then he may equip the coat on that solider.

EDIT 2: I just used the coat as an example. This also applies to other items like helmets, gloves, etc.

This is the most sensible way to do it, I think. This way squads can still have unique appearances and themes, but still allow a bit of customization that isn’t just frankly predatory. There are tons of squads in game. I will most likely buy most if not all the stuff I can in Moscow for the Soviets if they do it this way, so it’s not like they won’t get money. In fact, i’m less likely to spend money with how it is now, because what’s the point?

Those only apply to new players though

New to Stalingrad, yes.

New to Enlisted, no. I don’t know if it’s part of the Premium $30 bundle or not, but I’ve been playing since OBT opened up last April…

Hmmm… Maybe allow players to edit the loadout after the battle starts? I’m gonna give Moscow as an example even though you can’t customise your soldiers there. There are some battles in Moscow where a white suit makes sense, while in other battles it just gives away your position.
