As the first suggestion on the updated forums; Custom Content support for mods.
This should include assets from other DaNet games like Active Matter and CRSED, and later, 3rd party content created entirely by the modding community.
This should, ideally, include support for
- Render Instances
- Landclasses related textures (micro detail, terrain detail, vegetation mask, terrain texture)
- DynModels
- Vehicles
1st party custom content:
CRSED content:
According to previous testing, most CRSED maps only require landclass data to function + level binaries. This isn’t more than a couple hundred megabytes in filesize. Compatiblity is 99%. Only effects and impostors need an update/level re-export on normandy_2x2. (hedges have problems)
Active Matter:
Active Matter has a lot of modern assets that could be utilized on custom levels; If this is granted, uEnlistedCDK will get updated to support Dalniy Island assets. (ReExport of HQ and America assets to uCDK is impossible at the moment, devs could help with that.)
Porting gravity anomaly and distortion shader would be cherry on top.
Active matter maps suffer from insufficient memory allocation in Enlisted, that is need to be raised.
East District engine demo map:
Basically de_dust2 made by Gaijin. Couple megabytes.
All 1st party mods would require OPTIONAL download in the launcher. Like HQ client.
3rd party custom content:
Anything from the internet or from modders. Sky is the limit. Moderation would be required to prevent explicit and copyrighted content of course.
