Current state of Enlisted

The current state of enlisted is absolutely abysmal. There are numerous issues that must immediately be acknowledged and a plan for solving must be created within 2024. This is a list of things that must be fixed sometime in 2024:

*Gray zone tank camping

*Squad carouseling (they said they were going to fix it they didn’t)

*Soldiers rolling with random stat points. ( Nothing else within the new enlisted uses random stats anymore, example being weapons all roll at minimum level and must be upgraded.)

*Tier 3 getting up tiered and down tiered (the equipment can’t compete with tier 5 and is too powerful for tier 2)

*Some weapons and equipment still are not in the correct tier

*Artillery spamming

*Many weapons need accuracy tweaks (some have far more recoil then needed, others not enough)

*Getting stuck in certain areas

These are just a few of the many issues this game currently has. Some solutions I have are as follows:

Gray zone tanks- Gray zone tanks are given a 30 second immunity when spawning and cannot gain score when in the gray zone spawn immunity ends immediately when leaving the gray zone, or the timer is up.

Squad carouselling- this one’s really easy, DF already stated how they plan to fix this. THEY JUST NEED TO IMPLIMET IT! Too many times have I seen tank squads or paratroopers among many others such as flamethrower squads being carouselled.

Soldier stat points- just set the soldiers stat points to the maximum of their capable of having, then level the soldier up as normal from one star. They already did away with random levels on weapons, among many other things. Too many times are we trying to get a level 3 soldier with Max stats only to find we’ve blown through a few hundred thousand silver just to get two or three.

Tier 3 up tier/down tier- this is a tricky topic. Many of the community doesn’t mind waiting as long as war thunder players wait as long as it means they’re getting into Fair matches where it’s not one-sided. (1-4 minutes on average.) This also will divide player base further and increase queue times but it will make things more balanced. Too many times I’ve seen people bailing out of a match if they’re not playing against the lower tier, in too many times have I seen tier 2s fight tier 5s.

Weapons and equipment- a lot of the weapons and equipment are still not in the correct tier for their combat effectiveness, and capabilities. In my personal opinion all 75 mm tanks need to be locked to tier 3 and above. Leaving only 37, 47 and 57 mm mainly in tiers 1 and 2. A few of the weapons such as Bolt actions, and SMGs don’t need to be in tier 2/3 and vice versa. Taking into account that research tier and battle tier at seperate, battle tier is the only thing that matters. I feel as things are changed within the battle tier it needs to reflect in the tree within reason for simplicity and ease of understanding especially for newer players that join.

Artillery spamming- I feel there should be at least a 15 possibly 30 second cooldown between teams using artillery fire, not just limiting a particular squad from using artillery fire every 3 minutes. I’ve seen far too many matches where people have had multiple radio man on their team at the same time and as soon as One barrage stops another One immediately starts wreaking havoc over objectives and spawn beacon/ travel areas. In some cases it makes steamrolling 100 times easier to spam artillery. Both teams get a limit to how often, example: Team A fires on the objective. They cannot fire for 15 to 30 seconds, during that time team B can return fire starting their 15 to 30 second timer after hitting a area before the objective.

Accuracy / recoil tweaks- many of the lmgs and SMGs with a high fire rate have next to no recoil, changes would be made bringing up the recoil modifier slightly on these weapons. Making players not hip fire someone from 50 m away in squad wipe someone with an lmg an SMG is meant to be up close too many times have I seen someone 40 to 50 m away squad wiping with a SMG. A few of the bolt actions seem to miss much more often than others even though they’re disparity is set the same, this mostly happens with the earlier tier 2 bolt actions at ranges of more than 30 m.

Getting stuck in certain areas- too many times have I been aiming at someone with an object in front of me that causes my soldier to automatically attempt to mantle and get stuck in the object. This seems to be an issue with how the game looks at where the player is standing I think smaller things such as chairs and tables should be destructible so you could knife it or melee or if you feel like wasting the ammo shoot at it to get free. Many other areas such as rubble also posing issues especially when in a more active firefight and your attempting to move around the rubble causing temporary loss of control at times within Stalingrad for example. As I stated above these are just a few of the issues that need to be addressed immediately and a solution created and implemented within 2024 for the continual health of this game. What are your thoughts?

I don’t know but it feels like we are less and less people supporting the game by playing it.

Man you must not know that arty is in a really good place right now. If you think this is arty spam your dead wrong, in the CBT when normandy was added it had a 15 sec or 30 sec reload/cooldown time so people would sit in the back and spam arty. Then it went up to 10 min or so if i recall correctly, it doesnt need to be changed.

They did but their solution would be to make the carouseling only useful to those with premium squads so they had to back track in that

It can deal with BR V perfectly fine, but ok

I’m referring to a whole team arty spamming. A cooldown per team seems to stop the constant matchec where a whole team is rotating out arty strikes. Say 1 person just did the strike, his teammates can’t call in another until 15 seconds later. It gives a little realism too, most arty fire needed time to reload.
The individual player would keep the same time, independent of the team timer.

*Most equipment. The 20mm Pz II would have a hard time with a IS-2 for example.

Well, that’s where AT Weapons and planes come into play. This isn’t War Thunder. Armor balance isn’t the end all be all

nah. tanks arent CQC vehicle and they should work from range. you just need effective counters for them.

While I agree with your points, I want the games health to be at its best. Understandable that no game is completely bug free but it seems like enlisted has way too many bugs that were introduced over the last few months or a few returning bugs that have come back.

I agree tanks are not meant for CQC battles but they also don’t need to be sitting 3 km away killing people where they cannot be touched. Just some general ideas here that I was trying to spitball out to see what the community thought hopefully we can all find something that works best for the game that keeps as much realism as possible but also is is most balanced as possible even if one or the other has to be sacrificed more. I want nothing more than this to be a completely real full realism game but I know on a balancing standpoint that can never happen because some factions had far more powerful equipment than others.

this has been state of enlisted since i started playing it. instead of fixing and polishing base game, they are constantly going for more content and introducing new and reintroducing old bugs.

there are basically 3 ways to fix gray zone camping (without ruining tank gameplay)

  1. give f2p players second vehicle slot for planes
  2. bigger maps that enabled flanking. some tanks are problem cause of need to frontally confront them
  3. have better MM

You are so right, i have been since the start of the project and it has been constantly filled with unpolished content, breaking new and old things at the same time.

Devs are not taking care of the big problems, and the testings are useless, before we see some advance in reported “bugs”, we are gonna get more unpolished content like the paratroopers that had been nerfed and tweaked like crazy or the lastest APC’s that are not able to cross over the child zone of a pool without getting stuck.
