What Rickyd123 said, plus, this is a level 1 squad - you need to unlock the second squad member through upgrades, then you’ll have an additional slot for another pilot (gunner). That gunner still won’t do anything ATM, though.

This game for ages, can not make use of multi crew airplanes.
Even if you upgrade to carry one more crew with you, you can not use them, and 2nd crew even dont get any score/xp with you like tank crew.
