I have to head up North to the Old Country over the weekend for a family emergency.
I’ve decided to take my crappy old laptop with me (i3 6100, 8GB RAM, Intel HD GFX) that runs Linux so I can at the very least login to keep my daily streak going.
I fired up Enlisted earlier on it, but the game crashes out hard after less than a minute. It’s full of D3D and Vulkan errors.
I eventually managed to click the dailies button before it crashed out, and it seemed to register, thankfully.
I’ve gone into the config file and reduced whatever settings I could find to Low (from Medium).
Is there anything else I can do to make the main menu stable, even for a minute or two?
I don’t need to play the game, just login. Any ideas here from our Linux/Potato PC folks would be really helpful.
Get the devs to remove the reset on daily logins…it should always be cumulative in order to get the anniversary name markers…log in for 365 days, get it…I take vacations. I’ve been playing for 1.5 years and my streak was just reset to 86 after the"unplanned maintenance".
Really? Even as a Forum Moderator? How about with Community Managers…they might. I feel for you not wanting to lose the streak…It’s ridiculous that we do.
I play on the cloud, Nvidia GeForce NOW. It has a free tier and you can play games through the cloud in your web browser too. Should be enough for that.
i would guess old driver version?
also are you playing through steam. steam+proton usually helps with games on linux. gaming on linux is sketchy and even opening the game can be a chore. that is why like people before i recommend geforce now.
