Hi so as you all know, there are different tiers for most classes (i.e Sniper I, Sniper II, Sniper III, etc) and the smart way to train them is pairing two high tiers to one low tier so you can get rid of those lower tiers. Sometimes you get unlucky tho and get the lower tier, and you are stuck with a level 5 Tier I that you cant upgrade anymore.
I was thinking it would be nice to have a way to convert level 5’s into higher tiers or maybe silver soldier orders so you can select units that you need.

in my experience with enlisted ttk the different levels of soldiers if you manually control them don’t matter what matters is your ability also having extra soldiers comes in handy sooner or later when you complete the campaign and have to complete the squads you use
While I can agree somewhat, filling up every squad isn’t as important to me as making sure that I have the most elite soldiers I can get. Higher Tiers can get better perks, so being locked out or unable to progress once they hit level 5 is kinda meh. Especially when you get unlucky with the roll.
Yeah I hear what your saying, but I’m just trying to imagine how this would work. So you have a Rank V Soldier of level 1 with 5 perks.
And you want to convert him to a Rank 1 Solder of level 2 with only 1 perk??? And he has to be built back up to level V again at level 2?
I was thinking that maybe you could upgrade that Rank V level one soldier for 5 Rank 1 level 2 soldiers.

Not so much back at level 1 when it becomes Tier 2, but rather they convert to maybe a level 3 or 4 when it goes up a tier with a reward of 1-2 silver troop orders (depending on current tier when converting) so that you can continue with training no matter how many new tiers are added into the game in the future.
