I think a lot of people would be more willing to purchase some of the premium squads that come in bundles, if they weren’t forced into purchasing both items in specific bundles.
Myself for example, I have been put off multiple times from purchasing squads just because they were bundled up, and I never had the ability to purchase just the squad I was interested in.
Sometimes, I am only interested in a single unique vehicle or gun, and I have absolutely no interest in whatever else it’s bundled with. Sometimes both of them may be worthwhile for my investment, but often times it’s not.
I also think there’s a decent amount of players that play only one side in each campaign, and they would especially be interested in only one side’s squad. I also fall into this category, making it especially difficult for me to justify some purchases that I would otherwise make.
In the past, I know specific bundles were separated, and that is when I made the most purchases within the game; when the squads started being bundled up, I thought it was a great idea initially, but I had not anticipated that the freedom of choosing a single squad would be taken away from me. As it stands right now, I would greatly appreciate the freedom of choosing again. It doesn’t necessarily mean that the squads should be unbundled, but rather also allow us to buy just one if we don’t want the other.

Yes.
I want the As-44 squad. it’s possibly the best assault rifle of the game, and the uniform/armour the soldiers wear is really nice. But I don’t really care for the stg45 squad… it’s underwhelming.

I totally agree with you I personally only have interest in the axis Squads in those bundles but end up getting an allied squad I rarely ever use.
Ironically though those bundles are actually far more cost efficient than just the normal Premium Squads. Best example is in Normandy Stug III G cost 5700 gold (you’ll need the 6200 Gold pack which costs $63.99 CAD I believe just off the top of my head) but the Vanguard bundle ($76.99) comes with not only a better vehicle but also a second very good allied vehicle. I’ve made a post about this before, why would I ever get the Stug alone? The prices make literally no sense.
I actually just bought the Stug because of the 50% off sale which is honestly where I believe majority of these premium units should normally be priced

Absolutely agreed about the pricing issue too. I’ve argued against pay to win premium squads in the past, but making them weaker than the free squads and then locking them behind giant paywalls takes away any incentive people would have on spending money for them.
In my opinion the limitations put on premium squads are enough to ensure there’s no pay to win, and some of the squads are just on the right edge of being competitive and not overpowered at all, so the ridiculous prices don’t make any sense.
And unfortunately, I agree the bundles are the most cost efficient ones, yet often the least attractive deals because we’re forced to potentially get an additional squad we might never use.
But this could be easily solved by leaving the bundles as an option, and just also giving us the option to buy individual squads in a bundle. I believe more options means more sales which will likely mean more money for the devs.

i like the late stg prototype though its rate of fire is worse than already just enough slow mkb42h… on the other hand as44 performes much better and in my opinion its pay to win …
though with ppsh and fedorov spam, its just another full auto gun and soviets dont deserve way better gun than germans speaking about these new premium squads
nevertheless i might probably buy stg45 squad if it wasnt in bundle anyway

Literally in the same situation right now, would instantly buy the STG45 (and probably some other stuff), only thing holding me back is the forced bundle which I have little interest in. I wouldn’t mind if the bundle was like 38€ so 2 Squads for one like before with the Polish BAR in some sales but paying 60€ because I want one Squad is just way too much.
Maybe the incentive is to force people to play both sides but with the grind and shared orders this isn’t going to work for me at least, looking at the cost of upgrading one gun to max alone and how slow the grind is becoming after the first few unlocks.

Just noticed that the Assaulter Bundle for Battle of Berlin is still optional, the Squads aren’t listed seperately but you can click on them in the Bundle to buy only one of them. Don’t know if it’s an oversight but kinda stupid since you have to look really hard to find out.

It’s very peculiar with how it’s set up.
I went and checked and indeed the berlin assaulters squad and the tunisian motorcycle squads have the ability to be bought separate by just going to the bundle page, then clicking on the squad that you want and it’ll take you to just that squad’s purchase option… but this only works with those 2 bundles, everything else doesn’t have a forwarding page to a single squad.
I remember originally bundles were always optional, and I thought they removed that for all bundles, but apparently the old bundles continue to have optional purchases within them, it’s just the new bundles that force us to buy everything; so my request to the devs still stands.
