So could we get something else in the future, so tired of getting assaulters or paratroopers as reward from event. How about engineer or radio squad, hell i even take sniper squad at this point.

I would tell the game servers to keep making Nazi tricks ! That way at least it’s quicker to go the way of H & G
We are supposed to get Engineer squads with assault rifle for each nation in a future event according to the dev (as a compensation for stalingrad)

this event squads, with the same weapons, would have been the perfect moment to release the promised “stalingrad assault engineer” squads.
whats the use for a pure BR5 assaulter squad? to let new players get into br5 straight and get all the other squads killed, enforcing the “i need to spend some cash to alleviate the grind”?

I’ve said this before but personally I think (and hope) that they actually meant the Engineers would have automatic weapons (ie auto rifles) and not assault rifles (which is a fair misinterpretation).
Only Germany and Soviets had assault rifles, and usually they’ve tried to keep class weapon types distinct and auto rifles are perfectly up the Engineer’s alley
They clearly state that it will have assault rifle. What is the point of having new event engineer squad that is capable of using auto rifle when normal engineer squad can already do it? Remember what those squad are for, to compensate those player because Stalingrad engineer loss the ability of using assault rifle.
No one stops them from adding US and Japan assault rifle.
This is a special event squad, not your ordinary squad.
Not really, The news stated that those squad have the ability of using “upgradable assault rifles”.
So it means that those squad are using tech tree assault rifle, so it can’t be the current event squad.
i would like to have an event rewarding a bunch of tokens with which you can buy any event squad/gun/vehicle from all events thats been out and you might have missed. an anti-FOMO antidote, if you like. highly doubtful, but one can dream.
it will help veterans round their collections, it will help new players that wont have such powerful tools as paratroopers, and it will in general help the entire game enviroment by making everyone happy.
and, as a plus, it has the added benefit of not adding any workload at all, after all everything is already in the game. reusable content is always a win for game developers. more time for drinking coffee, talk about sports at the water machine and such vital activities.

You clearly misunderstand. The point is that Germany and the Soviets were the only two countries who had by the definition actual literal assault rifles. America and Japan did not.
Now of coarse then we can look at the M2 Carbine but the devs basically treat it as an automatic rifle class weapon for all riflemen classes, and Japan also had its own few automatic rifles. That’s why it lead me to the conclusion that maybe they meant automatic weapons, not explicitly assault rifles
Lol who cares about real definition? Dev can literally classify the gun as the type they like.
It still means assault rifle, but using their own classification.
the silent hunter squads were some of the best event squads ever. useful, adequate power and fun.
a smart idea in general is to take any type of squad, make it smaller and in return give everyone a fancy weapon & the engineer in the squad the ability to build any engineer squad structure.
much more fun than the 10000th paratrooper boredom squad.
