Core balance late game tanks

I have the feeling we have to talk once more about the balance when USA and Wehrmacht unlocks their last tank.
Even if the jumbo was better armored, it’s a cord balance issue if the late game counter tank can’t penetrate it frontal at all. Sometimes I also noticed that they have problems to penetrate my side armor, while I can penetrate them on almost all positions.

There are a few ways to balance these two tanks.

  1. we could offer the panzer 4 (dunno which version it is) a 3rd ammo type with better penetration but maybe only 10 shells
  2. the German tank could get better zoom so it could better aim for weak spots if that helps
  3. we could nerf the ap ammunition of the jumbo but therefore we could increase the splash of the he ammunition slightly

I think it would be more ideal to replace the jumbo with an M4A1(76)W. Rather than give the Germans an equally excessively powerful tank.
Otherwise it makes life harder for the lower level Soviet tanks/newer players too.

One thing I’d really like to see them add is smoke shells, only around 5. Just enough to use to either cover your advance or try and ‘blind’ an enemy tank while you flank around them.

It would also be another way for tanks to help support infantry, by providing cover as they push an objective.
