Coming across the the Pz. IV/70 (W) in Normandy while playing the Allies is rare, however if encountered, it can be hard to deal with from the front, especially with the 75mm guns of the Shermans.
However it can be killed from the front with a well placed HE shot. Aim under it, in the middle (lengthways and widthway) and fire an HE shot.
If the HE round was correctly placed, it will kill it in one shot.
Have you ever come across a Pz.4 that’s facing you, while you’re in your Sherman, and all you have is HE loaded?

You could fire the HE and load the AP rounds, but that would give your position if they haven’t seen you. (and its not as fun or efficient) What you should do is aim just below it, and fire your HE shell. This will kill the Pz.4 in one shot.

If you shoot at the roadwheels of pz4 from sides with HE it will explode. You have to aim well but it works
