Constructive critizism by veteran

Playing the game for like half a year now and I can barely convince myself to play it nowadays. I kept thinking about it for the past few days, and “user feedback” wise, everything seems to be in a worse state than it was before (meaning CBT) in Enlisted right now.

I truly loved the project, but especially over the timespan of the last two months, I feel like the game is in an objectively worse state than before and I just can’t play it anymore without asking myself, what they are doing with the game I once loved so much.

  • Dealing damage to tanks, especially with perfectly sitting Explosive packs, seem to be really hard RNG dependend now, while it was 100% kill in the CBT and shortly after release. I had several moments in which I needed 2-3 perfectly thrown EPs to take out a single tank, which is super frustrating.

  • Same goes for Planedmg models, which are super broken right now. The old one had issues with AI sniping down planes, yes, but at least it opened up counterplay and you could actually take down planes. Right now the dmg model and the connected userfeedback is sooo bad that you need unironically I hit enemy INTERCEPTORS across the entire plane with my p47 300 x8 times without dealing damage to it and not knowing when I can turn or not cause I never know if he has issues with the controls now or not.

  • Same goes with the artillery. How can you patch the artillery into a WORSE state than before? I didn’t even imagine that it was possible. Overloading shellshocking mechanic was the issue, now it’s still the same but with onehit dangerzone beeing extended by a big factor. Like, you couldn’t just nerfed it into the ground and opened up the role with radiomen specific perks (light arty/heavy arty/ smokebarrage) but once again: It’s SOOO much worse to play as and to play against.

Overall they seem to need months to adress negative feedback of the core design (thanks for fixing some bugs and plane spawn raiding/spawn protection on rallies at least), in which I really ask myself, why it takes so long to do something about it. Do they simply disagree or do they have a planned and slow workschedule, in which “reworking” mechanics/designs that are already implemented have lowest priority/ only getting touched after certain content updates are finished ?

For me the fixes are quite simple: If you don’t have anything good to replace it with: DON’T TOUCH IT. Reverse everything: Tank dmg models / HE dmgmodel / Plane dmg model/ artillery functionality.

But since this probably needs ~7-8 months to be adressed as well (spawnprotection/plane spawnraiding), we’ll see each other next year.

Hopefully I’ll see you all ingame sooner.
But before any of these topics are getting touched, I just can’t take the game serious anymore since frustration overtakes the fun that I once had with this great game.

everything you’ve complained about I 've seen numerous threads requesting here on the forum.

Only in the afterthought campaign. In Moscow they work fine.

part of this is due in my opinion to the coarse way in which enlisted was done by seeing the first gameplay videos to those of today you can see that the game was designed to be a red orchestra and in a way it came out of cod free to play that is not necessarily bad but completely upset what could have been the anti cod, battlefiled

Work fine in Berlin when you throw them on top like you always should. A fully cooked detpack airbursting directly over the tank is 99 times ouf ot 100 a OHK.

arty is broke, I laid several on a stationary tier1 tank with NO DMG. A tanks worst nightmare should be a arty barrage.

You were unlucky then. Arty still works well on tanks and will kill or cripple them most of the time. It shouldn’t be a sure kill. That would be too easy and also unrealistic.

massed artillery has worked against tanks sure, but it’s not the most effective solution. tanks worst nightmare historically has been enemy infantry with no infantry support of their own.
