Conquest map suggestion: kroll opera house

The conquest gamemode needs more love: it is a fair setup to both teams, promotes long term teamwork, and reduces the significance of vehicle abuse. The creative-potential of conquest maps to be created from the pre-existing set of maps is still rather high. I suggest that the kroll opera house be the new site of a very close quarter combat conquest map.

Makes sense, one teams vehicles can intercept infantry on their way to the objectives, the other cant or at least needs to cross much more territory and literally attack the main spawn.

Its a one sided map vehicle wise.

Some time ago I suggested this

I think it would be great to combine different parts of the greater Berlin map, which is currently split into two – for instance, there is no game mode where you can fight for Reichstag and Brandenburg Gate in the same match.

It is probably split due to optimization reasons. Berlin is very detailed and might not work if they combine these maps

Maybe yes but Big Action Volokolamsk works, right?

If Berlin is too heavy indeed, at least we could try a new “middle portion” between the two parts of the map:

Moscow is very empty. Most of the space is taken by tiny villages, fields and forests. Berlin has huge multi story buildings and entire city blocks

Because red team will be forced to engage on central point in the open field, with highly restricted amount of good places for rallies. On the other hand, blues team engagement path is fully covered by building structure, and have like 3 times more places to hide rallies

I would love bigger Maps, Enlisted is perfect with it’s combined Warfare for that

Maybe these guys just don’t want another conquest mode map, which would increase the chances of that mode appearing.

But yeah, it could make a great conquest mode map. If we assume that the mode is even supposed to exist.

It’s an interesting Idea but with a map that large it needs to be closer to 20 players per team. Currently it’d be about 3-4 players, both teams combined, per point and that would make it a boring empty map most people would avoid. Even with spawning on held points the map is large enough that it’d be mostly empty

This setup might be better: the capture point’s are all very close or inside the building, so it’s not asymmetrical to the point where one side dominates the building while the other side captures an open air point. Each point is surrounded by buildings, and yet a lot can go on within them. Lot’s of cqc, and vehicles have a main survey of the objective in middle and the road. Not with impunity though, since infantry can attack the tanks from above the kroll opera house. It’s perfect for heavy action, gun blazing FUN!!! Rallies in this game mode should be allowed 35m (i think that’s the closest on some maps) of the capture point. APC’s can still be deployed around and outside the building.
