Confrontation should have a time limit

confrontation nowadays last much shorter than previously. i think now you get less and lesser reinforcement when capturing a point as time goes on? it definitely feels that way.

but yeah, they should tweak confrontation so it’s not a half hour plus slugfest (assuming both sides are equal)

Instead of this too small ticket loss they should add a respawn cost multiplier getting more severe for each lost capure point.

Longer games = more xp

idk if 2 hour game is calling it fixed. they need diminishing reinforcements on confrontation. every time same cap is capped, reinforcement need to be 50% of previous reinforcement.

Yeah. Supringsly it’s fixed on some maps, but not all over board.

Most confrontation games never last more than 90 minutes tops. The exceptions are almost always on Tunisia. That’s due to poor bot pathfinding more than anything.

Personally I don’t mind longer games. It makes your team more likely to push for the victory because the amount of xp on the line is so much higher.

stalingrad seems like worst confrontation map by max time played now.

Probably also due to bot pathfinding.

Confrontation is one of my most favorite modes. I love how some matches can go for a long time and it gets really intense pushing back and fourth. I think it is fine as is and should stay as such

Perhaps there could be a random time limit each time

so sometimes it could give you 2 hrs, other times 1 hr, or 1hr & 30 mins or 15 or 45 on top of the hr, just to give players a different sense of having to play to different clocks without it going beyond ridiculous, so nothing longer than a long movie would be ok by me.

Any mode with unlimited time potential should be its own queue separate from the core game queue and should really not punish players for leaving due to the nature of it potentially going on forever

Reminds me of Planetside 2, where the battlefield never ends, it’s on 24/7, a mode like that in this game wouldn’t be a bad thing, if it was done right, because even PS2 ruined their own game and now it’s a joke of a game despite having the potential to be a really good game, same applies to enlisted, it could be great, but it has a lot of issues

Confrontation definitely the shining beacon of hope for this game for the future, we should be able to select to play just this mode if we want exclusively

I think it stems from regaining tickets every time you capture a point. In the times where I’ve had excessively long games, it’s because the teams are fairly evenly match and we’ll have this back and forth, taking each point mostly uncontested but not gaining any ground.

no. people have life and nobody has time for multi hour battles.

and difference is that in planetside 2 you join whenever you want to and quit whenever you want to. in enlisted you complete battles.

I would have thought even teams would grind each other down on the first point?

Games ive had that were even, half the games tickets were gone before the first point fell. The rest burned on the next point.

Only way i can see it dragging out is objectives changing hands without a fight?? Which is passively even i spose

Sorry just trying to understand. Ive even had games were our team got stomped back to last point and just burned the enemies down to zero, but nothing that seemed excessively long.

Basically, yeah, most of the fighting happens in between the 4th and 5th point, but the actual capture takes place uncontested.

It’s especially bad in maps like Kahif cave or Tenaru where there’s a big gap between the points, so the team is able to capture and hold points uncontested because the enemy takes too long to traverse the map.

Yeh I have never experienced this mode ever going for that long as people have said

people have a life and they play this game that requires huge amounts of time investment to progress and unlock stuff, so that’s not really an argument, a lot of people play long game sessions or binge tv, shows, movies, internet etc…

as long as it could be a mode the player can choose to go to or avoid, it’s not a problem

also you can quit enlisted battles whenever you want too, it’s not a big deal currently, it’s very common

if enlisted could do a mode that people like hell let loose failed to do, or a proper territory war, would be interesting, again, a lot of ifs

since these gaming companies only want to make shallow easy grindy arcade super fast paced shooters that can be as addictive as possible…so much for respecting the individuals time

And yeah paratroopers will be great at breaking that cycle and making confrontation mode more dynamic as a whole.

playing one battle for hours isnt same as playing hours of one game. average batle time is around 20 minutes and most people expect battle to be done in 10-30 minutes.
