You hold more position as the enemy, you and your team make more kills as the enemy team and you are still loosing. And mostly it is about two positions, back and for… and in the middle of the game you know you will lose. This mode need to be out of the game or far better balanced.
confrontation is one of the better modes considering there are still assault, conquest and train that are worst game modes and detonation that is slightly worse than confrontation…
But the side wo have more base reinforcements win, is not fair
For example pacific confrontation
Japanese have 2000 reinforcements at start i played for 30 minute they dont take a point we take two of them was still at half of reinforcements with half of our total kill we was at 170 reinforcements and right to lose
I made even a post and asked cnvault to datamine the “real” number of Japanese start reinforcements and it confirm that was 2000 and for US 1200
Is impossible have a fair battle in this condition and we see the same with
It is similar to invasion mode where the side with less win rate have faster capture time when attacking and longer capture time when defending. It is done for balance purpose, giving the underwhelming side some chance to win.
I like it. It’s a weirdly intense mode, which is also a bit more unpredictable. Some of my most memorable games are actually in that mode.
The issues i see:
1.) The fights can drag on for fucking forever
2.) Quite frequently the distance to unlock time for the next point is out of whack - you cap the previous point and the next one is so far away that the enemy is already capping it by the time you arrive. This contributes to point.1.
Confrontation on Kaif caves is horrible, on Stalingrad it’s good, I think it related to spawn locations on Tunisia which makes it really suck, rallies are key on Tunisia, but games drag on and on there usually.
nothing is equally terrible as assault. confrontation is more or less invasion without infinite defender tickets. i think you have problem with teams, not with game mode.
I really like confrontation, and I can see why it’s frustrating. I’ve had games where one team was clearly dominating with more kills, fewer deaths, more captures, and the other team runs out of tickets first but somehow still wins in the end.
The convoluted and hidden scoring system is the real villain here
