The Cönders VG Rifle, created by the same inventor of the Cönders MG, was one of the many designs submitted to the German government during the final stages of the war as they sought to produce cheap firearms for militias.

What makes this rifle interesting and unlike anything else featured in the game is that the bolt is operated away from the user to chamber shots. This peculiar mechanism would allow the user to continue to firing the rifle while keeping it aimed.

Therefore, I propose the Cönders VG rifle to be added to BR1 Germany as essentially a crude version of the 1895 Mannlicher carbine. It would fire without interruptions in aiming but with less accuracy and less ROF compared to the Mannlicher due to its crude construction.

TLDR: Worse Volkssturm version of the Mannlicher at BR1.

:white_check_mark: Weapon Type (For weapons only)

This is a bolt action rifle for any class that can use bolt action rifles.

:white_check_mark: Battle Rating (BR)

Because it is a last ditch volkssturm weapon, it should be BR1. This is also so it will not compete with the Mannlicher at BR2.

:white_check_mark: Type

I believe this weapon should actually be tech tree.

:white_check_mark: Availability

Because volkssturm weapons were designed to be cheap and to equip as many people as possible, I feel like it’s only appropriate for it to not be restricted to a battlepass or event.

:white_check_mark: Gameplay Purpose & Role

Unlike most bolt action rifles, it should be able to be fired while remaining zoomed in due to the unique way this rifle was designed. It should basically be a crude volkssturm version of the Mannlicher for BR1. It’s ROF should be less than the Mannlicher and it should not have ideal accuracy because of its low quality construction.

There was also a semi-automatic carbine version of this rifle, if I’m not mistaken, it was in 8mm Kurz, so it could be like a VG1-5 but in BR1-2.

i’d still prefer the vg 1 in all honesty,

but, i don’t see why not.

The Cönders VG carbine , also known as the Coenders-Röchling Volkssturmkarabiner , was designed by August Cönders in 1944 as part of the Volkssturm militia program for Nazi Germany.

This carbine exemplifies the efforts of Nazi Germany to produce low-cost weapons for the Volkssturm militia during World War II.

what does that mean? what do you mean “finally”? I always support adding prototypes to the game because historical-fiction is more fascinating and interesting than another simulator. Shit, dude, add the EM-2 to the USA faction, I think anything from 1946 is fair game due to the soviet jets here

It can maintain aim while shooting? That’s great! So which weapons from Japan and Italy can be used for ‘maintaining aim’?

Japan can get mannlichers or Lee-Enfields because Thailand utilized them and they were allies.

Italy should have the Pavesi rifle in the game right now buffed to do mannlicher damage so it functions like the Kretz rifle in the game right now, a semi auto that does bolt action damage

As far as I remember, the rifle has a self-unlocking bolt after firing (similar to the PTRD-41), which means you could even call it semi-automatic to some extent. Therefore, it actually makes more sense to give it a higher rate of fire.

Technically this rifle is not bolt action because the user actually pushes the entire barrel forward and back to cycle another round in. You can watch the video that was posted above.

I’m calling it “bolt action” for simplicity sake

I misinterpreted ‘Partial self-unlocking’ in the rifle report. I assumed the spring near the muzzle was for automatic shell extraction. Turns out, the rifle is more boring than I thought .

I think pushing the entire barrel forward to chamber bullets is a pretty interesting mechanism…

I think there were about 9 Volkssturm Rifles, I want them all!

Give me the dumpster guns
