Concerns about the progression model

I understand that the game is f2p, and needs to incentivize players to spend money in various ways. I don’t believe this is a problem in and of itself, and I will take this into account. Here goes.

Please stop making players reroll their soldiers. They should be upgradeable directly through bronze orders instead, whatever amount is proper… Could even add some cursed randomness element to it if yall really wanna keep that. Having the soldiers essentially “slated for deletion” in the academy removes their sense of permanence. I am not incentivized to buy something which will soon become obsolete/deleted/rerolled. And people who’ve invested in soldier flairs like appearance and names? Kinda screwed over if the 6star model is implemented how I suspect.

Planned obsolescence is an issue for the game ecosystem overall. I have advocated for more side-tiers instead of direct upgrades before. As in the example above, there is no real incentive for buyers to purchase things which will soon (essentially) vanish, either directly through the academy, or indirectly when you unlock the “upgraded version.”

Agreed. Always thought it was awkward the way they encourage you to “buy” soldiers with Orders then immediately run them through the Academy blood ritual never to be seen again. I become attached to a few of my veteran soldiers, especially before the “silent fix” to the Academy that ensured I knew who was getting trained up.

It’s all just a bit clunky right now. I hope they can tighten it up because having to repeat this same grind over and over and over again…yikes.

Yea. And since the soldier progression system is tied in with the RMT system, the jankiness of it is probably a direct loss of profit… Hope they fix, I think this should be prioritized
