Halftacks could also work as mobile spawn beacons, with maybe some kind of limitation on how many squads can spawn out of it (say for example like 5 squad spawns before it loses mobile rally function, either completely or for a certain length of time)

If you want halftracks, a large scale mode is needed. They would be useless.

Currently APCs would be only a gimmic.
Objectives are 100m from eachother so any form of transportation is unnecesarry.
Most maps have too much shit every where so you will get stuck all the time and on top of that speed is capped to sth like 20km/h. So mobility advantage is only theoretical.
Many maps are urban warfare so you will be able to drive only on one street. Not much flanking.
Your armour protects agains smallarms. That’s not enough when everybody has AT weapon.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d like to see them in game. But current game design doesn’t fit this at all imo.

i don’t see why an halftrack doesn’t make sense after that.
beside, always usefull for mg cover fire 
( and not everyone likes to use tanks or planes )

You can already have it. We have:
- lmgs with shit dispersion and not functional bipods
- mg nests that are expensive and require a bunch of grind and have shit dispersion
Actually, if we had halftrucks they would not only have shit dispersion but also they would stutter. Sounds like fun.

beside, that’s on dev part for the dispersion ( which it’s mostly only present in stalingrad ).
the others, i think they can get the job done.
beside, halftracks are much more usefull than just being a mobile mg.
provides mobile cover ( which, yes, not many would use for one reason or another ), possible customization,
it’s a win win.
you like it, use it.
you don’t, you will not use it.
