Main difference between japanese and us weapons comes from doctrine. Japan was mostly defending( like in the game) rugged, narrow, jungle terrain. Japanese military highly based on infantry while us depends on sheer fire power and mobility . Jap weapons are more optimal for stationery firing while us is for dynamic. But now japan also will have prototypes, heavy vehicles for late campaigns. Even in real war they managed to give very hard times to us. Since this is a game and no side espc japan doesnt have logistic or oil problem etc… You wanna sea even harsher steamrolls in pacific ? Dont buff the japanese it will ruin the game
History is important, but games are more important
I hope to play an interesting game instead of having a boring history lesson. Stop your arrogant preaching. If this is a multiplayer online competitive game, it must consider the balance
Should the players of the Berlin Campaign die with inferior weapons? Why do you have to sacrifice the player’s game experience for your so-called “history”?
What really needs to “respect history” is the single person mode
However, developers let it die. Multiplayer games only need to ensure the history while maintaining balance, rather than destroy the balance for the sake of history.
If you hope that the American army’s weapons are stronger than the Japanese army’s, then sooner or later players will flock to the American army’s queue. The Japanese army only has BOT left. Is that the “history” you want?
Currently there is no problem with weapon balance but not a lot people have unlocked the campaign completely. In time may be there will be but not now. The worse problem is the fools worrying about K/D ratio and not sacrificing themselves willingly for the Emperor.
Shame that in many cases devs are destroying history for the sake of… I don’t know what.
Historical approach is a lot more balanced and fun in some campaigns
Such as Berlin, Moscow, Normandy
Yeah, in pacific it may be a necesarry evil but in other campaigns it’s completelly unnecesarry to bend history that much.
Yes, to stay true to history the US in Normandy should be able to deploy 10 Shermans for every one Panther/Tiger on the field.
To stay true to history is make factions different and unique to play. When you try to make asymetrical balance the game gets boring quickly, looses on competivenes and variety, and historical accuracy.
Now yes axis normandy has better tanks, this should be balanced out by very good planes that can easily counter said tanks.
Now giving a perishing and making it balanced isnt fun, interesting or historical
Japanese tanks… it’s horrible, the second tank unlock can be killed by first USA truck
Type 11 LMG, this thing so horrible even when you mount it, it still not accurate
arisaka rifle, the sights and slow rate of fire, obliterated by springfield USMC
Only SMG that better but still without perk & max upgrade it’s not accurate
Ever play with higher US enemy squad that play smart & use mortar, grenade and artilery?
The defense wiped like instantly
Also that US leopard suit Squad, I fear it, it has 2 sec heal time
Um, the japs weaponry is inferior to the US in pretty much everyway. If the devs want a chance at saving this campaign from becoming yet another Allied stomping ground they need to do something.
do not allude to realism, because there is none, take DD, the Germans had only one armored division (consisting of 5 panzers) in the game, the tanks are spam. in reality there were no German planes in the sky, because the allies had the monopoly of the sky, yet in the game, on DD, the German players spam the aviation…
on DD in the game, the Germans have the unlimited tickets to defend, which is far from being once again the reality, if the game was meant to be realistic, it is the allies who attack who should have had the unlimited tickets, because there were only 40,000 Germans in all to defend all the beaches. Unlike the allies who were x times more numerous
when even the Germans would have come to attack with planes, from one they would have been 1 against 10, and moreover they could not even fly over the sea, because the Allied fleet would have descended them directly. Something that is not on the game, they can walk over the fleet without problems. etc the list is long between a game that tries to be so-called realistic.
And in turn they don’t get to spam Jumbos. I would happily take that trade.
Really? I thought it would at least do that, wow. Mounting truly is totally useless
Well then I got a crazy idea here. Hear me out on this one. Just get rid of the shitty dispersion effect altogether. Instead add real recoil or lower the damage over a distance if it becomes a real issue.
It has never been good in any game it has ever been put it yet devs keep doing it. Pick up the fucking hint people
On another note, dispersion has made Machine guns practically a luck based gun. Whenever I use them, the bullets are dancing around the target unless he is like 7 feet away. It’s made machine guns completely and utterly useless
game is not trying to be historically realistic… otherwise game would be boring and one sided in most of the campaigns… game is historical with game balance elements.
