Hello everyone!
We all love free goodies, right? Like awesome new squads, we can play with a few rounds and then toss them aside because our default squads are often better. Well, the problem is these squads aren’t free. If we look at the previous event especially, a lot of us spent multiple hours completing 10 games and oftentimes longer to finish the rally point spawns or even vehicle kills.
This is where my suggestion leads: Community-wide events. A common goal, or list of goals, for the entire player base to work towards without daily limitations or forceful playing.
To demonstrate, here is a little list of what the entire community may work towards:
This is just for demonstration’s sake, take it with a grain of salt.
- 2.000.000 points
- 500.000 Kills
- 3.000 Vehicle kills
- 200.000 Rally spawns
- 100.000 HP healed (through medics and their boxes)
- 10.000 Ammo box interactions
If you played previous events you’re probably doing the same as me. Grind the points and go do something else because the game feels like a job now and is as such less enjoyable.
So how would this help you might ask?
Through shared work and effort. Some people may enjoy building rally points. Others may love hunting vehicles. Others just love causing mayhem on the battlefield and this way everyone gets to do what they like best without being burdened by other objectives yet they still have an incentive to partake in them.
This could very well have a positive effect on the game. Looking at the previous event the map was littered with spawn points due to the incentive to build them, as opposed to after the event where rallies have become scarce because people often forget about them.
This way events would break a rather unenjoyable cycle and habits like daily limits, downtime, chore-like perception, and overall rivalry, and finally become a catalyst for team play, pushing people to become more sociable and even valuable for their teams.
