Colour of vehicles - a new idea

It seems that this is an ongoing issue for MANY people on here so PLEASE vote and add comments or suggestions…maybe if it gains enough traction in one post, maybe devs and community managers will pay attention.
There is a glaring issue with the colouring of vehicles with respect to gameplay as a single tank can technically wind up in an assortment of environments. The Allieds for example can have one tank be used in the desert (Tunisis), the pacific jungle setting, in snow with the battle of the bulge, urban environments or forested country side. As there is no REAL way of selecting where you play (outside of custom matches), you have no idea how to apply camo to vehicles. I propose that vehicles get the same treatment as squad uniforms, the change based on the campaign they are queued for. Vehicle skins should do the same…tan or neutral colours for desert, pale for snow, etc…as that would be historically accurate…no one likes seeing a snow camo in the desert. People who have paid for a specific camo, should also get the skin tailoring to the environment free of charge…just like buying a Premium squad.
This could allow devs to add “vehicle appearance upgrade orders” as rewards to allow the player to customize a bit for a campaign.
Do you think this suggestion should be implemented in-game? Yes or no, leave reasons why or suggestions to make it better. Enough input and devs might take notice.

Vehicles can already choose camuflages on the campaigns, but the system is flawed: as you know, skins are paid items, but also the campaigns aren’t a good way to pick weather.

For example, there are mas in stalingrad and moscow without snow at all and the snowless-stalingrad maps are merged with rzhev maps. Not to mention these camuflages aren’t mandatory, so you can still end up with a pink panther in the battle of the bulge

True, but that’s why they need a better system for choosing in for campaigns. I get that certain campaigns are lumped together so a neutral in between is a better option, then with an upgrade order you can tailor it one way to take the chance like the uniform system.

the basic camos needs to be made free (they were pre-merge, but were taken away without any form of compensation) and camo needs to a one time universal purchase or one purchase should give us multiple uses, if I buy 2 tone summer camouflage for USSR for example, I should be able to apply it to multiple vehicles.
Having to buy camouflage for 250 gold, for multiple campaigns for every single vehicle is just impossible.
I would need to spend 6000 gold just to buy campaign appropriate camouflage for my current Axis vehicles alone. Not counting gold I already spent since most of my vehicles already had a camouflage bought.
This is too much, especially considering that you still need to pay for things as simple identification numbers and unit insignias. Dont even get me started on my premium vehicles.

Agreed…and after you buy the summer camouflage, if you queue into a game with snow it should turn into a winter camo…the policy of 250 gold for one camo, for one faction, on one vehicle is ridiculous.
