So ik it already has teams to play with friends, but I think a fun method of being able to play with only your friends would be this. Every squad you have is deployed and you can chose which one you control (so its like normal and the battlefield isn’t lacking in combat and population). A game mode sperate from the normal campaigns for fun with specific people. Or just straight private servers you run to play with friends.
Separate from above, when I first played this is reminded me of Total Tank Simulator with all the action and specific units. So a sandbox mode could be you fighting yourself with all squads being AI. Hell maybe even zombies would be a fun game mode.
