I’d like to see planes get a good look at balance wise and maybe a form of spawn points implemented for them. CAS in Moscow has become outright cancerous on both sides and needs a good look at. The neverending waves of Bf-110s in Normandy nuking entire waves needs to stop too.
Currently CAS in both Normandy and Moscow is utterly insane and capable of nuking spawns by carpet bombing or lobbing 21cm rockets from 2km away before flying back to rearm and doing it again 50 seconds later. So I threw this together on a whim and want to see what you guys think about spawn points for planes.
Adding spawn points for planes would help cut back on their downright spam and be a nice reward for playing well.
You get your first one for free, but after you die in it you have to earn enough SP to spawn in the next one.
Don’t double the number of SP needed each time though, this isn’t War Thunder.
I don’t see the same thing needing to be implemented for tanks since they aren’t able to carpet nuke spawns every 45-60 seconds.
it COULD lead to instances where people will spawn in Meta infantry squads to grind out SP to respawn back into a plane, but thats a hypothetical that definitely wouldnt happen with the current playerbase. I like this idea.
Yeah there’s details like that that need hashed out.
Maybe give extra SP for teamplay like pushing/holding objectives, spawns on rally points, or times your ammo box has been used. Hell you could even go around with medkits reviving people and have that give a decent bit of SP and XP.
I do like the sound of alternate ways of awarding SP. Perhaps the SP system could also be extended to, say, mortar squads or other very powerful squads. Put it like 50 SP to spawn a mortar squad.
It’s worth consideration at least.
And I want to add that the most SP should be earned by helping your team, not necessarily just raw kills because that could encourage scummy behavior which I’m certain no one wants to deal with.
Having sp would make matches not as annoying and would actually help the game in the long run. Mortars on moscow are just toxic players who can’t kill with firearms. Having sp would make cas not as annoying as well for mortar squads too. (Mortars nerfed when?)
Lets not add SP to the game, that sounds awful. I definitely don’t want this game game to become Call of Duty 420 MLG killstreaks. War Thunder random battles are dull and awful, CAS is little more then a kill streak in that game. I’d hope that Enlisted would stray away from War Thunder’s short’ capture the zones’ battles.
Better ways to deal with CAS would be buff AA, either make it do more damage to planes or move/shoot faster; put the fighter before the attacker in the campaign so more players have them and allow more then one fighter up while only one attacker is up at a time; move the reload further away or make it so you have to land to rearm.
Do you mean sth like in Battlefront 2? Where you have to spawn as a regular soldier class to gain points and use them to spawn as a vehicle or special class.
Personally I’m against solutions like this because it rewards team that is wining with more powerful stuff and it leads to more wining (see COD series).

Agree to above. Getting your squad constantly wiped out by planes in Normandy is a farce and more so, as the Luftwaffe was almost absent at the time, especially over the beaches. Yeah, I know you plane lovers are against any changes but for sake of the game can we have some balance and historical accuracy.
However, I must admit to having a good old Aussie beer after blasting one out of the sky with one of their own MG’s. Enlisted is a blast and I for one won’t mind paying a fair dollar for my pleasure
Historical accuracy and balance does not go hand in hand. The Moscow test over that last couple of months is a proof of this. It should be remembered that one side lost the war and their equipment had a part to play in this.
That’s really why I specified rewarding SP for good teamplay instead of only killing the enemy. So if you helped your team you’d be able to spawn a plane again as well.
This is what I’ve been shilling off and on a bit too, but we haven’t seen that change yet sadly.
tbh mortars are a meme that’s more frustrating and really has no counterplay in their current implementation since they can sit outside the mission area and just pump rounds onto a point to suppress and maim for ten minutes at a time.
Ok, so imagine you are in the losing team. You are clearly losing from the start, why would you stay in this match? You are already losing and it will only be worse as enemy team will get additional equipment faster than your team so they will win more.
I see no sense in bullying losing side even more.
If I’m on a losing team I’m already doing my best to keep up with the enemy and in most cases I’m able to so I still see no issue. They’re only getting one plane up at a time so that doesn’t change how it is currently, my dude. You’re talking as if there’s no limit on vehicles anymore. The equipment will still be only as good as the people who use it. At the very least it’d cut down on the spam of Bf-110s and suicide bombing runs which would be a mega plus.
Who’s to say that no one on the ten person team has their welfare spawn or enough points to spawn one?
Them earning points doesn’t take yours away wtf are you on about
You’d run out of the initial welfare spawns and then they’d have to earn the next one by being a good teammate and pushing/holding objectives.
