No argument there, I’ve did it for the medic award myself tons of times. I just can’t for the life of me remember anyone else doing it. Same, really, as when people don’t bother building rallies despite it being a decent source of passive score income and something absolutely deciding in whether we win or lose.
Sounds cosy. Speaking off, I’m somewhat hopeful for Heroes and Generals 2. Yeah, they handled the last couple of years like absolute ass but that game had some je ne sais quoi as they say.
Honestly, I don’t think H&G 2 would be a thing. I know they wanted 2 mils or something like that. It seems to me they just exaggerated “price” with intention to fail, so they would have some kind of absurd excuse to screw up players of original H&G and just left them with nothing.
But that’s few old info, I really don’t know what’s situation now. I honestly don’t care tho.
Tbh I’d like to remove the downed aka kneeling state. It looks stupid but that’s about it. Edit: Some kind of lying on the ground would be better.
And if we make bots smarter than lemings so they survive 10s more on their own, it may be actually not bad gameplayweise.
A downed enemy is not still dangerous because he’s downed, he can’t fire his weapon at you. He can only crawl away and pray you don’t come around the corner to finish the job.
Ruined atmosphere? How so.
If you’re going from a historical point of view, wounded men can still dress and bandage their own wounds. Not everyone just laid down in the dirt and screamed for a medic.
From a gameplay point of view, all you have to do is be quick enough to finish the downed enemy off. Or just wait until he gets up again and kill him. No problem.
The “Classic” battlefieldesque revive system only works when you have teamates willing to help you. In those games, more often than not even people playing medics didn’t revive me. Regardless of the rewards they may have received. I prefer the current revive system. I can barely rely on my team most days to play an objective properly, let alone revive me if Im downed.
