I think it would be a great thing to have in the Tunisia campaign is when we enlist a new soldier we are given the option to select weather they are British or America for the Allies and German or Italian for the Axis. Though this might be moot when the devs get rid of the campaigns, then I guess we will have separate nations like War Thunder and not have them lumped into the Allies or Axis factions.

Yeah I’d expect them to. Wonder what’ll happen to the existing British/Italian squads? Will we keep them under the US and Germany?
I’d suspect so just like in War Thunder.
This is not going to happen any time soon though unfortunatly. With the merge it has been stated that some squads in the US and german tech tree would be British / Italian.

but they only discussed that after the merge there will might be separate tech tree.
which speaking off;
according to devs and helpers, when the merge will come, you will keep them. but those will be merged with germany and US.
so, you have the ability to select the squads that you want, and use them ( the ones that you already grinded )
but speaking for op, as i’m grinding through tunisia, i really hate the fact that i have anti tankers and assaulters of german nationality in my italian squads.
so, an option would be really apreciated.

I hope that Devs will change their decision over time. Italians in the German Tree, which results in their involvement in battles in Moscow, Normandy and Berlin, is the greatest tragedy and reason to desire them into two separate trees…
You an select faces and cloths in squads for each nation depending on the squads nationality.
I like French voice lines of the Moroccans, and will be glad to enlist more French speaking soldiers.
Especially, if it will be female French partisans.
