well the tank is quite almost already useless but after the new maps before got added its quite defenseless cus of kv1 40mm roof armor and punishes the player for not picking the right tank in right moment and the HE of it only capable pen 31mm , but it one hit kills paper tanks or medium tanks roof armor , i know , but on tier 3 its not welcome anymore on the far eastern front , but the tank have ways to counter it easily cus of the paper armor even the worst anti tank rifle destroys it too and for being again for paper armor it gives a chance for tanks like stuart , bt , t50 or … frankstein tank i forget the name again i think its mk 1 grant since the chi ha short gun requires time to aim too on distance , on close combat , yeah its death sentence but its almost weak on distance battle for having way too short cannon .
yeah but chi ha long gun is a meme tank like sd kfz 221 , easiest target on the world , very limited ammo , very exposed crew and i rarely see anyone using it and the ones who used just got destroyed easily by aircrafts , anti tank guys or smgs/lmgs guys
The exact same reason the PZ III N got uptiered is the exact same reason the Chi-Ha Naval gun will stay in BR III. Heavy HE slingers have no place in a match that have BR I players who can never take it down.
Chi Ha short gun is not a heavy HE slinger. Its armor is even worse than certain br1 tanks. I think the main reason it is on br3 is because it is a non open top turreted tank with a large cannon and decent reload speed for its caliber.
I am pretty sure that the supposedly “impossible to pen” armor of the 3N was a vital point on criticisms for the 3N beeing in BR 2. HE alone was not the problem.
The short gun is everything but “hard to pen” so in that aspect your reasoning falls a bit short.
yeah but no because it had reason why it got nerfed before and if adjust reload time buff , it still be useless because of the kv1 still the problem to punish the player for bring wrong tank in wrong random match
Chi-Ha SG is easily destroyed by 1 BR tanks. It also can’t destroy the main enemy tanks of the 3 BR — KVs and Shermans. Therefore, its place is at 2 BR. It’s not on par with KV-2 and Sherman 105.
yep , probably worst part the sherman 105 will probably get heat ammo in some update , and the kv2 is already greater than chi ha because it actualy have decent armor and is in tier 3 same as chi ha short cannon , yeah but kv2 is , i wouldnt mind i prefer something that stand chance against every tank and actualy have better armor than be punished for using a tank , that tank even can beat king tiger since it actualy have HE that pens 48 mm and king tiger only have 40 mm of armor roof i think , theres still players out there using the big guy doing much great damage against infantry and heavy tanks better than chi ha short gun
When the SG entered the game, it had an “overpressure” mechanic that allowed it to destroy even a Pershing. This justified its placement at BR 3.
Then it was nerfed. And now it can’t even destroy main tanks at its rank. Clearly, the SG shouldn’t remain at BR 3 anymore.
yep , the nerf got worst because of far eastern front , kv1 and kv2 are just simple immune to chi ha short gun , its more safe stick to chi nu chi nu 2 or na to , well atleast na to tank got buffed not needing that pencil ammo and have more HE ammo and APHE ammo , no i will not mention its safer to use chi ha long gun because its a meme tank i rather use nato than that tank
