Check forum threads for repeats

Not a moderator or anything, just another user, but just a reminder that it would be great if you guys checked for existing threads before posting (I really like the “Your topic is similar to…” feature). I’ve seen four literal repeats in the last few days. There’s no point rehashing a suggestion if it has already been addressed elsewhere. Super cool, thanks!

(PS: it would be the pinnacle of irony if this has already been suggested)

I mean. Multiple threads means its a popular suggestion.

You get flagged if you suggest it
For many it’s not about clarity of communication but shouting. Why add your point to existing thread if you can start new one and make forum look like Artillery Nerf is the most important subject?

100% agree, so much clutter with people repeating themselves over and over in different threads

Partially it’s a result of how this particular instance of Discource is configured. When I’ve used others, the “Latest” section wasn’t a default and topics where bumped up by replies, not by the date when created.
It’s good and bad, the bad part is a lot of duplicates because people don’t check, the good part is that we don’t have every thread 300+ messages long and being completely derailed from original subject.
