Sorry, Vitality is the META, and the devs would rather make sure that everyone and their mother is using it rather than redesigning the perks system. You can either use vitality like a good little gamer, or you can be objectively wrong.
I have it on like one whole soldier. imo, it’s not worth more stamina, building resources, etc…
Also, (using the Kiraly as an example), Premiums that preform in a unique way are awesome, giving all of your soldiers the exact same meta perks is boring, at that point you might as well just remove perks entirely and make the same few meta perks auto equip on all soldiers…
Like, a squad that cant get vitality, but is very good at handling weapons is interesting and balanced.
I am going to be insanely pissed off if I can’t stack my run speed and sprint speed perks on my Orita squad anymore because its so much fun to zoom around with a sword
Even for non whales this is an abomination overall. As someone who has squads like the medics with hilarious run speed, or squads like Kiraly and Akt for maximum recoil reduction, this does nothing but kill the identity and uses of those squads. I’m not even sure if they are able to do this, as games that outright nerf characters or payed items (such as gachas), get lawsuits on damaging content people spend money on. They really should rethink this before angering the whales and the rest of the players funding the game.
Lol are you still living in the past? It’s not not like this is something unexpected. Currently we have Pacific for br1~5 I don’t really see how will Manchuria be different. Moreover it’s not like that pre merge Pacific campaign don’t have plenty of time travel gear anyway.
This perk modification of event and premium squads should apply ONLY to the VEHICLES related perks. So I’m happy for my blind so far Tempest pilot. On contrary you will ruin many squads uniqueness! Like medics with their extra mobility. Soviet medic girls don’t need weapon handling at all! They need to conscript another medic… So to sum up with this update only provide perks for the vehicle squads please. And the rest postpone and make with individual approach in the future. Don’t make people mad please.
Lowering the positive perk points annoys me a lot and probably takes away the last bit fun I had with this badly designed perk system. I do not like to play vitality builds (meta) and was happy there where a few squads that gave me the opportunity to play some other builds on my squads, like high mobility for melee charges / to get somewhere fast, squads with high reload speed and less recoil, squads with soldiers that bandages themselves in like 1 second… etc…
But unfortunately such builds where only possbile with squads that have a lot of perk points in one category, or one category that performs very poor for the others to have higher stat points.
Maybe the perk system should be completely changed, like offering “different templates” for each soldier indivually, so that I can for example choose, what kind of focus I want to have on my soldiers. Those templates could look like this:
A) “balanced”: average points in each category - Mobility, Vitality, Weapon Handlung
B) “focussed”: one category with higher stat points, therefore for one category with lower stat points
C) “specialized”: one category with greatly higher stat points, while the other two categories have lowered stat points
However, in many cases, at least 17 points (red) are required.
16 points are used for restoring health.
1 point is used for physical recovery
Otherwise, this soldier would basically be unable to participate in mobile warfare.
Even worse than not clicking the “16 Red” option before.
Go to point 1 to restore 1 point of health and gain a 3-point increase in movement ability. This might be better.
What was Manchuria like in history? Were there many bunkers and anti-tank gun groups? To prevent those Soviet mechanized formations from entering Nomonhan? Or those numerous Chinese-style walls, bunkers, Great Wall structures, etc., that were forced upon Chinese laborers for construction. The distinctive trench warfare, and a lot of trenches, or the earth pits that allowed tanks to defend themselves on a steep slope?
Manchuria was mostly a lot of open rolling hills and steppes, with a mixture rugged mountains terrain and forestry along with Japanese fortifications and bunkers, but the Soviets used tactics akin to blitzkrieg and mostly toppled a lot of what the Japanese had prepared. And honestly parts of it looked akin to Ukraine with its trenches and combined arms warfare. It was pretty brutal
Well, when it comes to the game, at least there won’t be any big cannons or tanks. Destroying those perpetual formulas should be better than in reality. I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of sparks will be ignited between the new front BR1-5 of the Soviet Union and Japan. Maybe Japan will get a ten-shot semi-automatic weapon from the technology tree before Germany does. After all, Germany is already only focused on reducing the svt38.
