The “Far Eastern Front” update will bring changes to the perk point modifiers of soldiers in several premium and event squads.
We plan to adjust the perk point modifiers of event and premium soldiers, so none of them will have less than 16 points at 5 stars. While the original plan that was mentioned in the SITREP recently was to just remove the negative perk modifiers from these soldiers, after careful consideration, we decided not to take that route. Instead we will also rebalance their positive perk point modifiers accordingly too, so while the negatives will be removed, the positives will also be lowered to match the change. This way certain event and premium soldiers that previously had huge negative modifiers for one stat won’t have excessively much more perk points than others after the change.
Affected soldiers will get a free perk reset, so you can redistribute their perks if you choose to.
Adjustment to manual booster activation
Because players recently repeatedly used an exploit to gain an excessive amount of Silver and experience that would otherwise have been impossible, we have introduced a limitation on active boosters to prevent further issues.
In the upcoming update, we will adjust this measure, specifically we will remove the limitation on the number of manually activated boosters, which only let you activate 3 boosters previously.
This means that you will be able to manually activate as many boosters as you want up to the 500% limit!
Nice, glad a change was forwarded. Good that there was at least a positive side to that change, although it’s still rather annoying.
Ooh, now we know it’s an Eastern Front update for sure and not Italy or another western front map. Quite excited to see what part of the Eastern Front we’ll see next update.
I’m curious about how they were implemented. Some premium soldiers only have a total of 16x3+3 points, and the changes will hardly bring them any benefits
The “benefit” is scaled based on how much said premium squad was previously “suffering”. In the image you show, your soldier is missing 1 weapon handling perk point, so that will be “given back” (turn -1 into +0 as the base stat adjustment for that premium squad’s soldier) at the cost of a perk point elsewhere (provided that perk has over the standard of 16 (+0 from base). It should become clear on a test server we’re preparing as we speak (after a number more dev blogs).
Meh personnaly i don’t care if they mix the assets of berlin, east front and pacific to make something a little bit weird, if the map is good (good spawn location, capture point and cover) and fun and we get the URSS vs Jap!
I have always appreciated the details and research put into the maps in this game. Copy paste buildings would be a huge dissapointment after all this waiting and teasing. Especially for modders who have been begging to get more chinese/asian buildings
The problem is that having a lower weapon handling perk point does not make a significant difference. Most people only need 12 weapon handling perk points to choose vertical recoil control. If you reduce other points for this, it may even be a form of nerf.
Maybe it could be something like this from warthunders japan map. Im not sure if these kinds of buildings existed in manchuria. I guess we will see later this week with the devblog
Congratulations! Sir, thanks, that’s a great gift to all history lovers. This front can be a fresh air.
Right now I do some research about it, and I glad to introduce you a Chinese NRA partisan who fight with Read army against japs in Manchuria. Let them be!
Right.
Even Orita has only 8 Weapons, but reload 2 is enough because it’s a gun with no recoil of the gun.
I think that’s the end of life in this squad if its 26 Mobility figure is reduced.
Orita and PPSh-2’s power comes from 26 Mobility.
