Just another rant, been talked about many times:
I have 2 propositions regarding current Field Gun mechanics:
1 - A mega event encompassing several stationary cannons that could be added to Enlisted as sidegrades to existing Field cannons either via alternative for existing squads or as entirely new squads.
2 - Move field guns into vehicle category, with separate unlocks in tech tree, upgrades and own Battle Rating
We already have an example of an engineering squad with a unique automatic grenade launcher.
What does this achieve:
- Potentially streamline the addition of new emplaced structures either via event or via tech tree
- Adds flavor to the battlefield by giving us many real mass produced historical guns to use
- Provides meaningful sidegrades to existing engineering emplacements
- Pauses infantry arms race with some flavorful and potentially fun additions INCLUDING but not limited to: Higher caliber AA autocannons (40/37mm), different emplaced machineguns, regiment level howitzers up to 150mm, emplacement mortars
- No i don’t care about Japan but it probably has some guns
Event awards suggestion:
BR-II
Stage 1 - LeIG 18 7.5cm
Stage 2 - OB-25 1943
Stage 3 - M116 75mm howitzer
BR-III
Stage 4 - US 90MM AA gun M1
Stage 5 - 85mm 52-K
Stage 6 - 88mm Flak 36

EXAMPLE OF SIDEGRADE:
Battle Rating: II
IF Field guns are reworked into unlockable vehicles, the upgrades could be:
---- Increased aim speed
— Increased reload
Realistically, i understand that a single developer who is left alive can’t possbly deliver on this in full, but maybe it could be considered to some degree.
- Yes
- No
- Yes to sidegrade structure engineers being event rewards/premium like automatic grenade launcher SVT-40
- Yes to sidegrade structures for engineers being unlockable in tech tree like vehicles and assignable to engineer squad like vehicles are with their own BR rating
- No, i hate you and your low effort AI slop suggestions
