Change THIS before the merge and steam release:

the game has too many frustration inducing aspects, these will cause significant amounts of uninstalls/bad steam reports.

we know from experience, df doesnt understand/take this topic serious, so here is the last post before its too late:

  1. improve the rally point system, currently its fucked, i made specific posts about how to easily solve this.
if still to lazy, do at least this → give the builder ALWAYS spawn priority. old and especially new players will be annoyed as hell when they spend lots of time to build a rally and then the other lazy fucks make you wait. solving this removes frustration AND creates a strong incentive to build rallies.

  2. the majority of the playerbase finds planes to be too difficult to use, especially in pacific. remove the carrier taking off, which gives ONLY disadvantages & be happy about more overpriced premium planes being sold after this improvement (but keep carriers/landing strips as a way to repair).

  3. let people block up to 2 different game modes. no intelligent person would expect a successful launch, when new players will be forced to play bs modes that are famously hated without giving these new players ways to avoid this frustration.
e.g. me and many players would instantly block conquest & train mode/assault

these are serious points and 1 & 2 need to be high priority before the big release.

And dont forget to shorten the distance to resupply cause with those planes are so slow you just get bored to loose 3 minutes just to launch two bombs … distance for repair is good tough

@2: it is easy for some, but for new players it will be very hard, dozens have told me that in person, before that i underestimated this issue too.

  1. sure, but i would rather have some other suggestions for rallys

  2. I don’t think its that bad

  3. this would be great, but it will never happen

I dont think its an issue. Nice to have some things with a challenge or higher skill floor requirement.

And Its not very high IMO

It’s not hard, put the nose horizontal with full throttle, you don’t even need to use the flap. Everything is automatically managed, you don’t have to worry about engine torque rolling your plane, no gyroscopic precession, no asymmetric blade effect.

The skill cap to be a good pilot is too low as it is.

Love the first point you made, I should be the first to spawn on my own rally point or at least be put into the second place in the spawn queue.

At this point I’m not sure if they’ll even listen even though we can see disaster in the horizon once we reach steam.

ur right its not hard once you know it, i even made a 5 min guide for taking off/landing to repair. but - once again - masses of new players will find it overwhelming and we need as many new players as we can get so the game becomes more profitable and we get higher quality content/more maps and all of it faster, since they will employ more coders.

They can be absolutely devastating though, if its shortened too much, air support will once again become far too strong.

Taking off from a carrier is not hard. Takes like 1-2 tries to get it right. It’s not rocket science.

Players need to stop getting everything handed to them. Learn to play the damn game.

As a person who often practice landing and taking off on the training ground, I really can’t imagine the difficulty of taking off from an aircraft carrier
Maybe we should have an aircraft carrier in the lake behind the training ground, or make a carrier aircraft tutorial to help those who play Pacific as their first campaign.

Its not a P47 too

Now you could also add convoluted and clunky new repair mechanics for tanks, newbie going to get their modules destroyed or maybe even a barrel and then leave tank because it can’t shoot and he dies because he tries to find a spot repair like a point and click adventure game or just leave all together because let’s be honest if your cannon gets destroyed you may as well leave tank since they won’t let you repair anyway and you will just die. Honestly tank vs tank encounters in current environment promote camping way too much.

I really hope they don’t do this. If anything I want to see the feature implemented in every map that it makes sense. It’s the best way to reduce suicide bombers by forcing them to spend a minute getting up and in position.

I think a better option is to put up a tooltip to point the nose forward when taking off.

for as long as you have premium account you can choose 3 maps that you dont like so you wont have to play them, I see it coming
