Right now there are 2 major problems with bonus for killing players within the objective area:
- Earning the Objective Attack bonus is STUPIDLY easy with a tank, since not only do you kill a lot of infantry inside the buildings that usually represent the point, but you also get a 50% point bonus for each kill, which definitely increases the tank spam/cycling problem at some degree, making defending infantry’s life miserable.
- Earning the Objective Defend bonus is very inconsistent because it’s only granted for the kills within the point or its close proximity - you can be inside the point mowing down attacking enemies, but since they are some 20 meters from the point border, you are not defending, nuh-uh.
What I suggest is a bit complex but should overall increase the amount of bonus points for those who truly play around the objective, and surely make the defend bonus more consistent.
Please note that exact distance/time values might be adjusted by the devs since they can collect all kinds of statistics, I tried my best to make the numbers make sense.
And feel free to discuss, of cource.
Here’s a questionably understandable infograph, explained in details down below

Main objective here is to remove the unfair reward for tank and AT cannon spamming, so the conditions are:
a) Attack - bonus points for killing enemy within the point borders + 10m from it (about the size of “close proximity” we have now), while being within 70 meters from the point border. This should ensure only the truly attacking players who can be hit back get the bonus, instead of grey zone HE spammers.
To give you the idea what 70m is, marked fence with the gate is the point capture zone border. Close enough to be hit with Bazooka-like launcher or be flanked with a TNT charge or Explosion Pack, a fair risk-reward.
Additionally, bonus points for all kills if the vehicle/buildable is 15m or closer to the point border, so you get a bonus if you are directly supporting the attacking infantry and cutting off defenders’ reinforcements.
b) Defense - kills within the point and its close proximity. Additionally, if a vehicle/buildable is 30m or closer to the point, all kills should be considered “objective defend”. Just like with attack, this ensures the players who directly support their infantry while being easy to spot and vulnerable to AT weapons get their reward.
Not much changes from what we have, plane-specific conditions include kills of the enemies within the point and its close proximity, main change would come from the “common” section.
Here is the main reason I wanted to create this suggestion:
a) Attack - right now it’s almost perfect, you get a bonus for a kill within the point and close proximity. I only suggest to add a bonus for all kills if you are within the point, meaning if you are actively capturing and are cutting off defenders trying to hold the objective.
b) Defense - all kills whether you or the target is within the point or close proximity. Should be enough conditions to cover both you trying to push the already capturing enemy off the point, or cut off the approaching enemies while you are ACTUALLY DEFENDING SITTING THERE IN THE POINT.
Only condition shared between buildables, vehicles and infantry I can think of is granting the defend/attack bonus if you kill an enemy who achieved the exact opposite attack/defend bonus 10 or less seconds ago, which would fairly award you for dealing with a tank, plane, buildable or infantly who is playing the objective, just the opposite side.
