Having the most common version of the Lewis gun be the event version was a really odd choice , but it can still be saved…
The .303 and .30-06 catridge have the same damage, all that needs changing is the muzzle velocity:
.303
.30-06
So I suggest:
•change the name of the lewis .303 to the m1917 Lewis or Lewis .30-06 and change the velocity of the bullets.

Renaming the gun to “M1917 Lewis” for US Marines is absolutely a valid solution to the issue.
Whatever results in future tech tree 47 and 97 Lewis Guns for the Brits will make me happy, the road there does not matter to me. We just need to get there!
