I think this AT weapon is fitting more on BR 3 rather than on BR 4.
Here’s why i think so - First of all, it doesn’t offer anything much better than RPzB. 43 Ofenrohr other than the protective shield, and the protective shield on AT weapon like this is honestly, ofc better than nothing but it’s not something substantial. Ofenrohr is just straight up better AT weapon on BR 4 in every possible way than Type 97 anti-tank grenade launcher as you can compare the stats here -
My second point is that apart from the stats on the statcard, it also has pretty bad sight picture without zeroing feature available, making it harder to use than the most of other AT launchers available.
My third point is that Type 97 anti-tank grenade launcher is actually comparable to BR 3 AT launchers in statwise.
Compared to Panzerfaust 60, Type 97 anti-tank grenade launcher has 20mm more penetration(It doesn’t matter much i think since Panzerfaust 60 already pretty much penetrate all tanks in the game frontally it could meet), bit better velocity for it’s HEAT projectile, protective shield that could stop a few coming small arms fire but slower reload speed with no zeroing feature, worse sight picture and unable to run with while equipped on hand unlike Panzerfaust 60.
Considering all that, i think it is more fitting to be on BR 3 instead of BR 4. Type 97 anti-tank grenade launcher, basically never have been used since the addition unless people want to use it for their authentic japanese loadout and something for their roster because Ofenrohr is just straight up better. Making it BR 3 would see some usage at least i think.
