Both the soviet and american P-40E-1 are identical, yet their payload is massively different: the soviet version carries an absurdly high payload for a BR 2 fighter and the american one could receive a slight buff.

Should have the same ish load as the lend lease one, and don’t forget the no longer available premium p40 with 1x 500 and 2x 100 and a bad pilot
I think it should be fair to consider that the Soviet version carries Soviet made bombs, which is likely something that had to be modified by the Soviets themselves to be capable of doing.
Aircraft were not capable of using every type of bomb, in some cases the mountings just weren’t compatible.
Now, I don’t know enough for if the P-40E-1 could mount the above mentioned bombs, or even in those exact compositions mentioned. Nor would I know how to find this out directly… Though if WarThunder offers the options for any other bomb loadouts then that aught to be good enough.
To be clear, I am not against there being a change (many needs a bombload overhaul, P-40 included), but for changes to bomb-loadouts to even be considered you need to offer some evidence the individual model of the plane was capable of and designed to accept them.
That’s all I needed to see.

I have it, and my only complaint is the pilot with not enough perk points for the detection range buff. Otherwise it’s so goddamn good

Pretty sure it’s still not the same. Russian one effectively has 2x 250lb bombs and 1 500lb bomb

They should have the same loadout. Currently russian one has over 1,000lbs of payload. Im sick of all these dinky 100lb u.s. bombs.

War Thunder style custom loadouts but with uptiers unlocking better ordnance would be ideal. That way, you don’t deprive your team of good close air support when you spawn a plane in an uptier.
