I have another suggestion. I have noticed that when I shoot people with an SMG, if they have a bolt action rifle, they can kill me even if I shoot them first because the SMG doesn’t do as much damage as a rifle. On the flipside, I’ve been able to kill people the same way as they shoot me first with an SMG and I immediately down them with my rifle. I don’t really like that I can do that and I don’t feel like I actually won in that case because my opponent was quicker than me, I just happen to have a rifle which deals higher damage. I don’ think you need to increase the SMG’s damage, but maybe add a feature where if you get hit by any bullet regardless of its caliber and it doesn’t kill you, it should at least disorient you kind of like explosions in the game do, or maybe it can knock you down somehow. I’ve never been in actual combat, but I imagine that if someone shoots you with an SMG you’re not going to easily just return fire a second after.
I just feel that if this is a game that strives for realism, there are always things that can improve.
Isnt it how it works already? If you take dmg you are throwned back a bit. It just doesnt work in close quaters, but its noticable when fighting at range.
I’ve had multiple instances where I shoot someone with an SMG first in the torso area, and they are still able to shoot me dead because they have a rifle. The same thing happens to me where I’m shot first, but can still shoot my opponent dead.
I’m not talking about when you get hit and go down and have to use your medkit, I’m talking about getting hit and it not being enough damage to drain your health. The hits where the white X appears in your sights instead of a red X.

Taking damage already disrupts aim. Just not enough it seems. Maybe. At very close range, you’d have to throw off aim by an awful lot to ensure a miss.
Or maybe, if an assaulter gets the drop on a rifleman at close range, he should aim at the head.
Overall, it would just enforce autoamtic weapon dominance. Rifle does more dmg per shot, so if you hit that button just in time you will kill dude with smg befor he kills you, he has much easier time aiming in comparison, and can take out multiple targets in quick fashion.

There’s a perk that reduces aim stability when receiving damage already.
But frankly, if the opponent has a bolt action and manages to win in a shootout, kudos to him. Keep in mind he ONLY got ONE chance to shoot back at an smg user, and that only in the first fraction of second… because it only takes 2, sometimes 3 smg bullet (on full auto!) To down anyone.
Smg is easy to use as is already, I see no reason to upgrade their efficiency or nerf bolt action users.
