I think the planes of the Bombing Run should be replaced with heavy bomber planes. Heavy bombers were used for strategic bombing, crippling the enemies morale, industry, and resources. Heavy bomber planes will likely never be implemented as playable vehicles, I doubt they’ll ever let us do CAS with a B17. So these planes will at least be represented in game by being the Bombing Runs, giving a chance to at least experience these iconic planes

Having 5 B-17 in the air might aswell just shut down the entire airspace with as much guns as they have but then it would still be very silly to have such a large strategic bombers capable of leveling entire streets and then for it to only drop 4 tiny 100lb bombs.
Having them drop that piss poor payload would for me be more immersion breaking than not having them at all.

If it becomes anything but a total waste I could get behind it. What really matters is increasing the bomb payload to a level that both does enough damage to warrant the incredibly long call in time while also not being too overpowered
