Capturing a point too quickly

So I know that the devs have purposefully made capturing points on the d-day map faster, but this is beginning to be annoying. I think we need it a little bit slower, but faster than what it was previously. I was just playing, and every time the Allies got in the cap, they would wipe out our team from the cap, capture it and meanwhile, we are all trying to get back into the game and get to the cap before it gets captured fully, and we don’t make it. Respawn times are too long and the cap is too far, allowing the allies to capture the point too easily. I think everything is for the most part good, but this capture time is too fast and needs to be reduced.

are you speaking of squad or lone fighter mode?

It feels fast. Once you dies on it as a defender almost 100% you never reach it.

Does D-Day invasion even have a fighter mode?

While playing squad, it is incredibly easy to cap points once you clear out the enemies guarding it. Which sort of makes sense but then is also very annoying. The capping should be increased slightly enough that it can give 1-2 defending squads a chance to move in from their spawn before the point is lost.

But I’d rather have this change come once the game hits open beta as we have no idea how a full human vs human game will play out. Defenders should be able to take full advantage of this map and not let anyone near any of the points. For which, we need more player and that sadly is a luxury these days.

i’m not entirely sure about this, like, it’s defender’s job to keep the attackers out.

although, i would agree with you. we need to see how with full humans this game would behave.

I sort of agree- quick capture leads to manic gameplay where it’s just cap-and-run to the next one - it is barely a wargame at all some times…

well, it’s a hot topic.

i’m not entirely sure if it’s a good thing change the time.

i have seen too many times that the contested area make the whole game a pain for the attackers. and from there, it’s attackers job to bring more attackers before the defenders swarm the area and keep an painfull loop.

although, i’m always welcome for new tweaks.

true, lately however I have been playing this game and it wasn’t as annoying as before. It’s still there but it seems better. Maybe I have just gotten used to it now.

If anything, capture times, capture points, and respawn points need to be adjusted on a per-map per-point basis.

It seems doable if the devs have the analytics for it in place. For example in the Moscow Fields invasion map, it’s not uncommon for the second or third point to be captured immediately after the prior point goes down.
