I’m loving the game so far. I’m trying to identify uniforms depicted in the German squads. There are several squads in uniforms that are fairly obvious repurposed foreign uniforms for German use. The dark brown tunics found in the Normandy campaign lack whermacht collar patches and waist pockets. I think they are the British battle dress tunic of 1940 but they have the tightening strap at the waistline deleted, a possible german modification to the tunic. The flametrooper sqaud in the Normandy campaign features a very light green/teal uniform that is barely visible due to the smock covering. I am not aware of this color being in the German production line but that gets very messy since so many artificial fibers were experimented with that could have altered the shading of the green dye. They may be Netherlands military uniforms that have been modified for german use if the color is our only clue. The Tunisia Campaign again also features German squads in captured British uniforms. Anyone else spotted something like this?
It’s just a German M44 tunic without collar patches.
I believe what the various uniform shades in Normandy and Berlin are based on are due to the fact that, one, the standard of ‘feldgrau’ changed over time, varying between more green and more grey, and two, that as the war progressed, the various factories that were contracted to produce uniforms for the army ran into issues with maintaining exact dye coloration due to shortages. so you’d wind up with a bunch of soldiers wearing uniforms of the same pattern, but various slightly different shades.
I love the prussian blue on moscow
