Can't unsee the new BR5 Allied tank so ugly

Had a quick BR5 Allied match and someone had decided to use that new BR5 US tank, OMG it looks so out of place on bulge, I can’t unsee it it’s huge turret and weird shape.

Was that a real tank or is this a paper concept one?

as if t20s or fgs given like candies are any better.

a bit selective there.

anyway, yes, the tank is a real prototype with 2 tanks actually being completed and built by 1944
never entered service or combat though.

but it was a real thing:

as far enlisted goes, it is a weaker equivalent to the tiger II but still a fighting force.

met couple of them and are quite the tough cookies to take down.

i’d say these can be quite challenging for japan to face off, but then again, planes exists so.

EDIT:
kinda like the chi-nu II… but bigger.
( as far the history of the vehicle… not performance )

“Cookies to take down” love it!

Thanks for info, they remind me of battleships! Just feel / look out of place imho

It’s still a formidable vehicle in War Thunder. Players unfamiliar with it won’t know its weak points, so they often get taken out while trying to find where to penetrate it. Unfortunately, it isn’t available in Enlisted. It really ought to get the T32, yet it’s still stuck in the suggestion list.

Try to look on the bright side: this tank was designed in 1943 and never faced the Tiger II historically. The Allies still have future heavy tank candidates such as the T29, T30, T34 and T32.

Still, it’s a bit disappointing for Britain at BR2. The only viable heavy vehicles are the Black Prince and Centurion Mk.I.

Yep that’s the “New Enlisted” we live in.

Jets over Stalingrad, Chinese men in Rzhev, sandy Italian tanquettes in Normandy and Ho Ri from 2017 in Guadalcanal.

I know from physically seeing WWII USA tanks. You just do not realize how big they ALL are until you get on one. Compared to other nations, especially russia, US equipment is much larger even to this day.
