I gave my soldiers grey clothes excpecting them to stay grey during combat but on certain maps such as rzhev they all turn black. Other clothes turn darker as well especially on rainy maps

Clothes turning darker on rainy maps is just them getting wet and reacting as clothes do when they get wet. It’d be jarring to see a totally dry person running through a storm and looking like they’re standing in the desert sun instead.
Being completely dry in pouring rain is uncanny valley territory, it‘s just wrong enough to notice.

Then at least make it more subtle and realistic. Light blue tunic doesn’t turn pitch black in light rain. You would have to sink the clothes underwater and it still wouldn’t be this dark
The effect is super inconsistent and doesn’t properly apply on every cloth
Also the effect is sometimes applied even if it isn’t raining
