Rather than being over focused on the minutia and stat gazing to the max so you can swing the nerf bat around, can we get the devs to re-work the maps ?
I don’t mind undulating terrain with some appropriately sized trench lines but can we tone down on the alpine aspect to just about every map? - I think the Moscow Quary is just about as cancerous as they get…
That goes together with reducing trenches from anti-tank ditches to something a bit more authentic ? It would be better to have a shittier soldier collision models rather than making terrain overly cluttered and difficult to move around it.
For the few snow covered Moscow maps that had some reasonably flat terrain which could support some good vehicle maneouvre, some dropkick dev scattered a veritable sea of tank traps and impassable spikes just to ensure that those few vehicles in game were suitably channeled…
And finally, if you’re going to let bombers crater the shit out of the ground, which also makes it impassable to vehicles at least let the bombs remove the trees as well, so that folks can at least navigate around the 50Kg craters with a bit more ease.
As it stands the only entity in game which ignores terrain movement restrictions is the infantry - you’ve even failed at implementing encumbrance properly… I now have infantry outrunning my tanks even on flat ground because of ground resistance or mud effects for tracks and wheels but clearly not boots.
