So, I’ve been thinking about ways to increase the progression speed and I came up with an idea. In World of Whatever games by by Wargaming when you fully research a vehicle it gains an Elite status and instead of gaining regular XP, it earns Elite XP that can be converted to Free XP for a premium currency fee (because obviously).
So I thought that mabye in Enlisted, fully researched squads could earn 25% (or maybe even 50%) more than not researched squads. It would shorten the research and maybe encourage using already spaded squads.
This does sound good since I do love using some squads ppk for the win but maybe a 10% bonus xp could be more reasonable
There used to be 10% free XP that you could use to unlock modules of other tanks (no premium needed but you could convert more with premium). So in relation to enlisted you could use these 10% XP to upgrade other squads - it would be great to kick start fresh squads a bit since getting those 25% and 50% with half squad full of troopers is not great. Especially the later squads that require multiple matches to level. This way I could play more with maxed out squads that I leave in reserve so I can level new squads since played the already maxed ones counts only for campaign progress.
Grabbing all the XP bonuses in the blue tree already increases the experience you earn, and adding more troops adds more things to be earning experience. Since base xp is the total of experience earned by soldiers, this also affects total campaign experience. It’s not a bad idea, but I don’t see DF making it easier to grind without spending money, since the entire grind is pay-a-little-to-go-faster, pay-a-lot-to-skip. In the World of Arcade Warfare games, you couldn’t really pay to skip all or part of the tech tree, unless you’d already earned enough free xp to convert.
The blue xp in the squads it’s only for both squads and soldiers of that squad type. Has nothing to do with campaign xp.
The base score on the scoreboard its the one for the campaign. That blue techtree on free squads doesn’t give extr xp to the campaign, again, only for squad level up and soldier xp. Nothing to do with the campaign.
If that would change to get more campaign xp, a premium squad would earn 200% more per match on the same basis of this discussion.
The only squads that give extra xp to the campaign are the premium ones.
Thats not true. Like you can see level 1 squad that was never used before gained same exp as leveled squad. Both squad got 1 zone defence kill in lone fighter mode
it would take an elite status, like war thunder where squads with all research points assigned have 10% additional experience
You’re right, I ran the numbers, and it’s all based on squad Base XP. Total Squad Base XP = Campaign Base XP.
What I can’t figure out now is why, of the three squads I played, only one had a total Squad Base XP = Total Soldier Base XP. The difference between those two numbers, for the squads that had a difference, don’t seem to be based on their squad xp modifier or awards bonuses, and I can’t make that math work with the numbers I have. I’ll try running a game in a campaign I haven’t progressed and see how that comes out.
Thanks for giving me a reason to do the math. Cheers.
Edit: Did this, ran the starter infantry squads in Berlin Axis. First squad total base = total soldier base, second squad doesn’t hold to that rule. I have no further insight into why that might be.
Yea, I meant something like the elite status, I didn’t know that elite vehicles in WT earn some extra RP.
